The reason as to how mycologists are certain “that none of the septate, filamentous deuteromycetes will be shown to make zygospores even when sexual stages of deuteromycetes are still unknown”.

Introduction:

Ascomycetes are a division of fungi which includes sac fungi. Sac fungi produce their spore in a sac like structure called “asci”. Saccharomyces (yeast), Penicillium and morels are some of the examples of ascomycetes.
