The management of a hotel has the business objective of increasing the return rate for hotel guests. One aspect of first impressions by guests relates to the time it takes to deliver a guest’s luggage to the room after check-in to the hotel. A random sample of 20 deliveries on a particular day were selected in Wing A of the hotel, and a random sample of 20 deliveries were selected in Wing B. Delivery times were collected and stored in Luggage.
a. Is there evidence of a difference in the median delivery times in the two wings of the hotel?
b. Compare the results of (a) with those of Problem 10.65 on page 384.
