Ceramics are the inorganic polymeric compounds that have a high melting point and are rigid and hard. They are electrically insulators but some conduct electricity very well at vert cold temperature.
Ceramics are moulded in order to form the bonds among particles and close any gaps within the material.
Imperfections in ceramics can be avoided by using the sol-gel process.
The sol-gel process prepares ceramics for the structural applications because it generates uniformly sized particles.
