(a) Interpretation:
The intracellular dTTP fraction synthesized from exogenous precursor should be determined.
Concept introduction:
In eukaryotic cells,
(b) Interpretation:
The rate of DNA synthesis (in molecules per minute per cell of thymine
Concept introduction:
In eukaryotic cells, DNA replication requires a balanced supply of dNTP in the S phase. The dTTP production is controlled in order to coordinate with DNA replication during the cell cycle. By enzymes such as cytosolic thymidine kinase (TK1) and thymidylate kinase (TMPK), the intercellular thymidine is recovered to dTTP. This increases the G1/S transition and affect the mitosis control of dTTP.
(c) Interpretation:
The method to determine the specific activity of dTTP pool should be explained.
