To explain: The significance of meiosis and describe the process.
Introduction: In the process of cell division, the chromatin present in the nucleus shrinks and forms a thread like structure called chromosomes. There are mainly two types of cell division: mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis occurs in somatic cell and meiosis occurs in reproductive cells. Meiosis I and meiosis II are the two separate sequential events in the meiosis process.
