The cause for the difficulty in speaking during laryngitis.

Introduction:

Larynx or the voice box is found 5 cm (centimeters) below the pharynx. The larynx functions to maintain an open airway, help food and air to route to their channels, and also assist in the production of sound. There are two parts of the larynx, that is, the epiglottis and vocal cords. Laryngitis is the inflammation of the larynx. It is caused due to over speaking, irritation, or due to infection.
