Expert Solution
Step 1 Introduction

When you're motivated to complete a task because of personal goals or rewards is Intrinsic motivation. when you complete a task to either avoid punishment or earn a reward is  extrinsic motivation. Identifying the Intrinsic and extrinsic motivators can help one to be more efficient, and feel more satisfied. It can lead to achieve growth in their career.

Intrinsic motivation
Intrinsic motivation is when you're performing the activity because of some internal drive as opposed to an external reward of some kind. Examples of intrinsic motivation include:

Playing a game of hockey because you enjoy the sport

Creating new designs because you enjoy the creativity

Extrinsic motivation
Extrinsic motivation is when you are not completing the task because you like it or find it satisfying. When a task is completed to get something in return or to avoid something unpleasant, then it is known as extrinsic motivation.

Examples:-

Preparing for a test because you want to get a good grade in school

Creating a painting because you want to win a prize

Intrinsic motivation comes from within, it is typically a more effective long-term method for achieving goals and completing tasks in a way that makes you feel fulfilled.
