In regards to a cooling tower practical, I was wondering would someone be able to help me fill out this table using the psychometric chart since I am not exactly sure if I am doing it correctly so it would be please help and also provide a rough idea on how to determine the following parameters for each load case (maybe just the first case of no load so I get a rough idea)

  • Relative humidity of inlet air and outlet air
  • Humidity ratio of inlet and outlet air
  • Enthalpy of inlet and outlet air
  • Specific volume of inlet and outlet air

Here is additional information if required

Experiment: A cooling tower uses forced air and column packing to cool downward-flowing water. Inlet water temperature and water flow rate are varied to investigate effects on outlet water temperature, outlet air temperature, and outlet air humidity. The system is first observed operating with ambient room temperature water. A heat load is then applied to the water tank, and the system response is observed. This is to simulate a power plant starting up and placing a cooling load on the cooling water supply. The aim is to compare the system response with and without the load. (Data collected from the lab is shown below)

Altitude = around 578 m if needed

Initial room tem = 22 degrees if needed
