The DNA is transformed into proteins through the process of transcription and translation.  The process of transcription changes the DNA to mRNA and in the post-transcriptional process, the regions of introns that non coding regions get spliced, and the coding regions of exons are attached together. These coding regions are translated to the proteins through the process of translation.
