Human beings are constantly changing and growing in complexly intricate ways. Our minds evolve at an alarming pace. Unfortunately, if you are anything like me: a creatures of habit, you resist change even if it is for the best. My mental health does nothing to oblige my love of stability. Some days are good days. Others involve excessive anxiety, fear, and depression. My brain is like a pendulum, swinging through a vast spectrum of diverse but equally strong emotions. I don't know why these changes are happening, or why I hate them so much. Maybe it is for the same reason that apple trees don't resist when we steal their fruit. Instead, they just stand there, perfectly complacent and indifferent to these ape-like creatures who could be hurting them. …show more content…
Maybe they are screaming and we just can't hear them. Or maybe I'm thinking too deeply about apple trees. Change is hard, but together we can stick it out. Please comment and let me know what you thought about this post. Do you also resist change, or do you embrace
Trying new things, like a new home, a new job, or a new hobby are all things that can change people and that can be a challenge. New ideas, new people, new rules, and really anything that is different can change people. Change can be a good thing or a bad thing. Nevertheless, change is inevitable and it can’t be avoided. Take King George III for example.
Throughout all of human history, there has always been one constant. This constant is change. Humans have a knack for taking something that is already good, and tweaking it to make it better. We take something that is already fine, then replace it with something newer and better, and then we replace that thing. It is a never ending cycle; a cycle of change. In his novel, The Natural, Bernard Malamud says that the cycle of change affects everything through the character arch of Roy Hobbs.
Through obstacles, people learn how to adopt or change in order to get through difficult situations. In addition, they might change in order to avoid similar future obstacles. People change not only to overcome a bad situation, but also to evolve into something greater than they were yesterday. They change in order to gain opportunities and to create a way for future generations. Furthermore, growth, is a part of the process of changing. With that being said, in order to grow and realize the significant and the unimportant aspects of live, change is inevitable. Therefore, whether we embrace it or resist it, change is unavoidable, and it is likely to be devastating if rejected. Lastly, people change based on how they are being treated, their environment, and also though influences. Change is one aspect of life that human cannot
Change in our lives is a part of living. Without change we would no be here today living as successfully as we are. People don?t always see changes in their life as for the best, but usually when people see through the
Change is inevitable. It could be in a person’s looks, personality, beliefs or way of thinking. Changes can be categorized under two main types. Changes that take place in nature we have little or no control over. We cannot, for instance, switch the time of tides, which anyway, wait for no one.
Change is something unavoidable but needed to adapt to one's surroundings. In The Martian Chronicles, It is said “But one day Earth will be as Mars is today. This will sober us. It's an object lesson in civilizations.” ("—And the Moon Be Still as Bright," 81).
Change is Necessary Change is something that everyone does in their lives. It requires acceptance, and overcoming the new way of life, no matter how big or small the action, it does change something. With bigger changes, it requires more time to accept and overcome but its apart of life. This became evident in William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, a book that shows these boys dealing with the change in events. It also seems to relate to my life as well in a sense, my friend passed away from a swimming accident and it took a while to deal with this change in my life.
What are you afraid of? Many people are afraid of many things such as death, heights, bugs, or public speaking; but the fear of change ranks high in the list of things that trigger anxiety (Radwan). Is there a reasonable answer why people neglect change nowadays? In fact, there is more than one answer to this question. Change has become such an important aspect of our everyday life that it is impossible to ignore. When it comes to the idea of change, most people will readily agree that some individuals try their hardest to avoid change. The reason behind this known theory is that those individuals don’t fear change; they fear being changed (Rabadam). In the end, change is something that drives them away from wanting to experience other
How do people deal with change in their lives ? If we wanted to look into this change what can we learn from it and their reactions ? Changes happen in our everyday lives from plans, to things were going to do and things were going to say and there's no way of avoiding that everything changes and its constant if we didn't have adaptation the world would be a mess, animals would have died off because they couldn't change their behaviors or actions to survive. Like the story Metamorphosis , the man changes into a bug almost cockroach looking creature and he still tries to press on and go to work as a salesman despite being ugly and completely changed. My opinion on this idea is that change is absolutely good for the world and everything happens for a reason, nothing is random and nothing is not planned change adapts you for your daily life and keeps you ready for the future and upcoming problems it also can make you tougher.
Looking back at Heraclitus, this Greek philosopher said that “there is nothing permanent except change” and “you can never step into the same river twice,” (London, 2016). I know that this is not anywhere near what I think about change. Change is something that can come in the form of thought. If you think it, it can happen. The thought process has already come to you and now its time to make the choice to step forward and move in that direction or to do nothing and allow the moment to pass.
Throughout my live, my behavior towards change has evolved into a more mature acceptance of the inevitable. As an adolescent, I failed to contemplate the reasoning behind changes that occurred within my life. I
I don't know one person who doesn't want to change something. Even the most habitual person I know wishes that he could stop smoking. But, how does change really happen? The following quote on change says it all.
Do you resolve to change your behaviour, so that things will turn out differently, but eventually find yourself caught up in old patterns? or despite your effort to change your behaviour, the result are not effecting the kind of change you desire?
It’s depressing how this works, but it’s probably the most reason why people change. It’s much like peer pressure which usually ends up in the wrong direction. For example, I was almost peer pressured to consume alcohol and to do smoking. Fortunately, for me, I escaped that change and didn’t experience it. The people we adore love us so much that they want us to remain the way we are forever. Like how my mother always wanted me to stay the same little child, but I grew up. Not all people can stay the same for a long time. If the people we love and adore would just accept the change and go with it, they would understand where the change was coming from.
Similarly, we become victims of the forces of change when we disregard or ignore our personalized orientations and end up doing the same things and in the same ways as everybody else. We choose to learn the same things in school, and eventually pursue the same degrees. Thereafter, we conduct the same businesses amongst numerous other inclinations. In other words, we tend to be guided by the environment around us, as well as our peers, as we continue making fundamental choices in our lives.
