It was a freezing winter day in December and my mom’s cousin, Emanuel, was coming in from out of town to enjoy his short winter break. The agenda for that particular day was a trip to Universal Studios, which I was dreading due to the weather. As my family and I approached the Universal Studios gates I could hear the piercing noise of speakers projecting someone's voice greeting us to their amusement park. When I walked into the actual park, there was the smell of freshly made hamburgers, which my family and I were craving because we had skipped breakfast to get there early. After eating the delicious meal my older sister and I split away from the group to go enjoy the rides we wanted to.
Throughout the day we rode on numerous rides, like The Mummy, King Kong, and The Simpsons. Later that day, my family and I all positioned ourselves in front of the enormous gridded Universal Studios globe right outside the main park for a family photo. I could feel the warmth that only a loving family’s presence could

I could see alcohol spilling everywhere and smelled the horrible aroma. I thought to myself, humans are extremely annoying when exposed to alcohol. I heard the Black Eyed Peas on the huge speaker next to the screen and felt the bass from the Song, “Boom Boom Pow”. My mom handed me a frosty bottle of Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider and said, “Open when the clock hits 12” I replied, “How!?” as I struggled trying to twist the cap off. She chuckled and said “You have to use the wire and untwist it until the top blows off”. I nodded and waited with excitement as the once cold bottle started getting warm with the heat of my hands. All of the grogginess I was feeling before disappeared as I felt the adrenaline kick in as the countdown approached the 60 second mark. The countdown approached the end, “3, 2, 1,” and huge fireworks exploded overhead, I thought to myself they sounded like missiles being launched at
Universal's Volcano Bay water "theme" park will be the resort's most ambitious project since the 90s. Not only will it expand the resort but it will also be the resort's first water park built from the ground up. The water "theme" park, as Universal likes to call it, will redefine what a water park is. Its tropical theme and massive erupting volcano create a truly unique and original theme. In Universal Orlando's announcement, they released few details about the park, however, their concept art gives a visual representation of what the park will look like when completed. What you may not realize about the concept art is how much detail was put into it. If you look closely, you can actually make out what will inhabit the water "theme" park.
One summer day in July , Me and my friend Carol went to an amusement park called Cedar Point . Cedar Point is located in Sandusky , Ohio and two and a half hours away . My mom and me wanted to go on a ride called the Maverick . The Maverick is Cedar Point’s steepest roller coaster and its speed is 70 miles per hour . The Maverick also has a 95 degree drop ! Then we went in line and waited for about an hour and a half . It was about eleven o'clock when we got close to the front of the line . When we finally got to the roller coaster I regretted going on because it was very dark and I couldn't see where the drop was and I don’t like steep roller coasters . Because of that me and Carol where panicking the whole way up . As soon as we got to the
Math happens behind closed doors at Walt Disney world or should I say that math happens inside of a secret tunnel somewhere in Walt Disney world but we will not get in to that just yet. Where does the real magic happen, people might ask? To begin with some people might say the magic starts with the Disney characters, the rides or others might even say it is the parades that Disney world have at the end of the day from the fireworks, to the yummy cotton candy and the treats that they bring out for people to enjoy along with the characters coming out all at once to entertain everyone. There are so many wow factors during the parades at Walt Disney world. Nevertheless Neither one of
Then my brother, both my sisters, and parents got out of the car, and the first item I saw was advertising for the park. The advertising said “Hollywood Studios” and had a picture of a rollercoaster, and all I felt was butterflies in my stomach. The next day we woke up in the early morning to get ready so that we could arrive when the park opened. When we arrived, I could see all the rides and an enormous crowd of people swarming around trying to find the shortest line to enter the park the fastest. My sister grabbed me hastily and said “Come on, Alex, let's go get on The Rock N Roller coaster.” My parents walked with us, but they didn't ride the roller coaster, so my sister and I were the only ones from our family. As we waited in line, I felt mixed feelings shoot through my body. Then my turn came, and I slowly entered the blue seat of the ride and buckled up tightly, making sure nothing at all could get loose. On a screen the ride counted down, six, five, four, three,
Have you ever been to Disney World? I’m pretty sure everyone has at least heard about it. In my opinion it is the best amusement park out there. Anyone can go. From the tiniest member in your family to the oldest one. There is a variation of rides made for everyone that desires to go. Making it one of the best vacation destination. Sure the park is wonderful, but the rides are amazing. There are slow rides, very fast rides, and educative rides.
Universal City Studios (Universal), composed of several copyright holders, sued Sony Corporation of America (Sony) for contributory copyright infringement for its dissemination of their Betamax video tape record (Betamax), which allowed users to record programs to view later, at the time they are televised, a practice known as time shifting. The purpose of this technology is at the center of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ultimate decision that contributory infringement cannot be imposed on Sony for the reasons outlined below.
Long ago, a girl had a wonderful great-aunt. Her great-aunt took the girl, whose name was Addie, and her family on many wondrous trips. They traveled to Disney World when Addie was only 3 and took vacations to Mexico many times. Eventually, it became a tradition that her great-aunt took her family as well as some of her relatives on a special, exciting trip every other year. So it was only partially a surprise when this great-aunt invited her family on another vacation to occur when she was 8. But this trip was to be even more thrilling than Addie could have expected. One day, her great-aunt Mary announced, “This year, I will take you all to Disney World.” Addie could hardly believe it! The previous trip to Disney World had been so long ago,
When Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and all of their friends come to mind the first thing you think of is Disneyland. Without these characters and Disneyland the entertainment and cartoon industry would not be where it currently stands to this day. The one man who brought all these creatures to life was the wonderful Walt Disney, along with the help of all the animators in which serviced him. Some people might think that Walt had a decently easy life and a cool story but the real story is that he worked his butt, arm and leg off to get to the point of his career to be so well known worldwide. He refused to let anybody or anything get in the way of what he truly felt he was to do with his life. Every obstacle that stood in his way was overtaken with the help of his brother and wife. Walt was a creative, imaginative, and visual person that created a trillion dollar empire and made a magical kingdom for all men, women, and children to enjoy.
One day, my Mom surprised me that we were going to warm, fun Florida! We took a long, tiring, journey to the sun country airport in Minneapolis. We walked right and found my best buddy, aiden! We were so happy! We chatted and talked. Then we went to the waiting place to charge our dead video games and we waited for the long plane. Once it was ready, we grabbed our games and hurried onto the plane.
When it comes to defining pioneering examples of the west, none portray it better than Hollyowood cinema. Viewed and admired and followed all over the world, it is the biggest film industry in the entire world. Of more than two hundred countries and their several film bases, none have influenced the film industry more than Hollywood. With icons over the years like Charlie Chaplin, James Dean, Marlon Brando and the recent wave of iconic actors like Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr., Brad Pitt recognized everywhere they may go, it is fair to say that Hollywood has clearly reached out to the world.
Whenever I’m on the shower, I perform a lot of songs but I also think about life, there are many factors in everyone’s life. Mine is God, Swimming, Education, Dreamworks and my Homeland. God is important to me.
Have you ever wanted to experience your favorite movie? Well, at Universal Studios you can do just that. Their rides are as close you can get to being in your favorite movies.
As we made our way across the park to the ride that I was dreading to go on all I could think about was how tall it is. You could see the ride from anywhere in the park and the park is huge. And it didn’t help that i knew that it went ninety miles per hour. The ride was called Millennium Force. Finally we got to the ride and walked right on. As we rode up the three hundred foot hill and I had the lap bar so tight it hurt my legs and i couldn't move. At the drop, which was more than straight down, was very scary. But it didn’t last as long as I thought it would. The ride was about a minute and a half long, but it was so much fun that it felt like it was thirty seconds. After the ride we walked out and my parents and my aunt and uncle were waiting for us outside of the exit of the ride. We went and saw the pictures of the ride and in my picture I had a huge smile on my
As my family and I pulled into my grandparent’s driveway, my eyes gazed upon the endless rows of cars parked on the frozen lawn. The familiar crunch of snow underneath tires echoed throughout the car as my father parked next to the other cars. Once the car door opened, the brisk, fresh air nipped at my nose. My siblings and I darted to the front porch of my grandparent’s house trying to escape the cold. With rosy cheeks and frozen hands, I stepped in to the small yet cozy entryway. Endless conversations between the sea of people in the house erupted before me. Sitting on the rustic wooden bench, I tugged off my
The day in the park was unforgettable. We woke up early so we could enjoy a good breakfast at the resort buffet after ate we went into the bus that would leave of at the Magic Kingdom park. Just watching the entrance the face of my 3 years old nephew went from a little bit sleepy to the most exited face I have ever seen. He yell Mike mommy Mike pointing with his finger the Mike Mouse face of the garden entrance that had been made with flowers and plants. I think we took more than 20 pictures of my nephew with that Mike face in the background. We pasted the main entrance and without had planed it there was Buzz Lightyear; his one of his favorite Disney characters. He ran to the man with the costume, but for him it was not a costume it was real I have seen
