There is one place that millions of people will flock to annually. Guests from all over the world save up to visit California’s Disneyland to experience and share the happiness and magic. Stepping inside Disneyland, in the heart of Orange County, California seems to teleport people to a place they have never been before. They are no longer in the hustle and bustle of California; they are now at the gates of Main Street USA. Disneyland is truly the happiest place on Earth, filled with wonderful rides, life-sized characters, and magical shows that will leave everyone in awe.

My speaking and listening topic is my trip to Disney land; I chose this topic because I feel like I know a lot about this subject as I have been doing this for about 5 year now.

In one year, 137.9 million people attend Disney Parks all across the world. (Orlando Sentinel).Walt Disney just a developing fellow in Chicago with little to no coinage and hardly any background. Later, throughout his future approximately everyone knew Disney for being incredibly creative and largely known for his characters. Walt Disney is by far the most influential man for impacting the entertainment world, for his work in animation and for creating the Disney parks.

When Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and all of their friends come to mind the first thing you think of is Disneyland. Without these characters and Disneyland the entertainment and cartoon industry would not be where it currently stands to this day. The one man who brought all these creatures to life was the wonderful Walt Disney, along with the help of all the animators in which serviced him. Some people might think that Walt had a decently easy life and a cool story but the real story is that he worked his butt, arm and leg off to get to the point of his career to be so well known worldwide. He refused to let anybody or anything get in the way of what he truly felt he was to do with his life. Every obstacle that stood in his way was overtaken with the help of his brother and wife. Walt was a creative, imaginative, and visual person that created a trillion dollar empire and made a magical kingdom for all men, women, and children to enjoy.

To better understand Walt Disney, you must first know how it came to be. Becoming familiar with the founders and the reasons the founders wanted the company. The type of family life and how the founders made their dream happen. There were hardships, but the brothers did not allow the hardships to stop them. Once Disney became established, you will learn about other things that Disney got involved in outside of theme parks. The type of audience that Disney appeal themselves to, are babies to adults. Disney is a giant empire, but they still have competition, which keeps them on point, therefore they must keep evolving. The company headquarters is still in California, where the first theme park was opened.

Hypnotizing a young, entertainment thirsty audience, harnessed into a “magical” realm of theatrical animation and engaging entertainment, cartoon characters provide children across the world with the gift of an alluring digital vacation. While Cinderella offers a dramatic production contingent on suspenseful romance and folktale, Mickey Mouse offers an exciting journey encouraging the acquisition of problem-solving skills in children. It comes as no surprise that Walt Disney claimed over $95 billion in worldwide assets for the year 2017- indicative of a production children enjoy watching, while parents condone the advertized benefits of learning; it’s a deal that is a win for all. In fact, such immensely attractive financial gains have even been recognized by other product lines which see the same prosperous potential in these adorable, humbling characters- even cereal.

What does everyone in the world know and love Disneyland and so do I. I am a big Walt Disney fan, and I think it would have been great to work with him. So I created a time machine. All I have to do is push this big red button and type the date in, and I will be with Walt Disney working on his design for a roller coaster in Magic Kingdom. So here I go typing October 1st, 1971. Something that I enjoy doing with my family, which isn’t considered a tradition but, might as well be one is, going on vacations to Disney parks. My mom, sister, and I absolutely love and adore Disney. We have been to Disneyland twice, Disney World four times and on one Disney Cruise. In fact we will be going on another Disney trip in the upcoming year! It is something that all of us can share equal interest in. When I was twelve years old, I enrolled in my local Catholic school after being homeschooled my entire life. In the spring of seventh grade, I decided that I wanted to try track and field. This seemingly minuscule decision would become something that would greatly impact me for the next few years when I fell while jumping over a hurdle and tore my ACL and meniscus. I was told that I would need surgery, and I was devastated. To my twelve-year-old self, it seemed as though the world as I knew it was coming to a drastic end. However, my outlook on the situation would soon change in an unlikely way.

Last year on November, my sisters, their boyfriends, and I went to Las Angeles for a late graduation present. We went to Las Angeles so we can go to Universal Studios and Disneyland to have fun. on the first day we spent the whole day looking around Las Angeles taking a tour around. On the second and third day we went to Disneyland and Universal Studios, it was my first time going to DisneyLand and Universal Studios and i had a great time. When we were about to leave Las Angeles my mother called and told us my grandmother died. me and my sisters were crying cause we were sad when we heard the news and my mother cried also. My grandmother lives in Vietnam so we couldn’t visit the funeral, so i couldn’t go to the funeral and i stayed back in

One week my family decided we would go to Disney land. I was very excited it was going to be my very first time. I’ve heard a lot of great stories my friends have told me while they were at Disney world. We start our journey to Disneyland at about 10:00 am.

As visitors enter the gate guests take photos on Main Street U.S.A to start the Disney experience, then are guided towards the cinderella castle, at which point are met by characters who are spread around the park to guide guests in a certain manner. A journal article written by Bartkowiak, Matthew representing the Journal of popular culture describes the behind the scenes view of Disney World, the happiest place on earth. Tourist who take the behind the scene tour are looking for insider knowledge on how Disney creates the magic inside the theme park. To some extent Disney allows tourists to see the un-magical real version of Disney world and how Disney enhances fun, the efficiency of the park, and how guests create memories through the park. The behind the scene tour usually last around three hours and “these tourists represent a group about to become insiders, brimming with knowledge of the park and its inner working”(Bartkowiak,943)
