Though there are many constellations in the sky, there is one that remains a favorite in my heart. My favorite constellation is Leo, "the Lion." I chose this constellation because it is my Zodiac sign and I also admire lions. Leo is one of the twelve Zodiac signs and has been claimed to be one of the earliest recognized signs. Leo is bordered on its west side by Cancer, and to its east, Virgo. This constellation can be viewed in the Northern Hemisphere. The Greek myth about the lion this constellation represents is most likely the Nemean Lion. Heracles was sent to kill the Nemean lion as one of his twelve labors. The skin of the lion was impenetrable, so it was seemingly impossible to kill. After Heracles defeated the Nemean lion, Zeus made
There are two strong contenders as to which mythical lion is represented by the constellation LEO.
My Favorite Constellation is Hercules. Hercules is the fifth largest constellation in the sky, occupying an area of 1225 square feet in the sky. I've chosen this constellation because I quite enjoy the Greek myth behind it.
I have chosen the Perseus Constellation. I chose that contallation because I have always liked the Greek Gods mythology. Perseus, named after the Greek Mythology hero, is a constellation in the Northen Sky. Perseus is bordered by Aries and Taurus to the south, Auriga to the east, Camelopardalis and Cassiopeia to the north, and Andromeda and Triangulum the west.
My favorite constellation by far is the Gemini constellation. The Gemini constellation is my favorite because my star sign is Gemini. And it is fairly easy to spot in the night sky, although the best viewing month is in February.
Aries is the constellation I have chosen. I picked Aries because it is my zodiacal sign. It is the 39th largest constellation out of all 88 constellations (it's 441 square degrees). It only has three stars that could be considered bright. It isn't considered a ram in some cultures, for example, in the Marshall Islands, it represents a porpoise.
For this essay I have chosen the Leo constellation. I chose Leo because it is one of the first recognized constellations and is one of the easiest to recognize as it actually resembles a lion. I also happen to be a Leo and have always had a fascination with this particular constellation.
I agree I was shocked about reading Racial Origins of US Feminism and how Stanton admitted the white women felt like they were superior to men and how she felt like women should be allowed to vote first. I like how you included that African Americans fighting for their freedom and how the white women wanted to get their rights before the African Americans. Your post is overall well written and I really like the information you
The creation myth of The Lion is that it's the Nemean Lion, a lion that Hercules has to kill as one of the 12 tasks he had to perform for killing his family. According to this Greek myth, the lion would often terrorize towns but they could not defeat it. It had a hide that was impenetrable by iron weapons or weapons in general, and after trying to defeat the lion Hercules was out of weapons from them breaking. He then strangled the lion to death and put it in the heavens as a sort of trophy that he had defeated
My favorite constellation is Capricornus, because in Latin it means "The Goat". I chose this constellation because goats are my favorite animals and I even own a goat at my muggle house. Capricornus is one of twelve constellations in the zodiac family, and is the 40th largest constellation in the sky. Capricornus's brightest star is Deneb Algedi, Delta Capricorni. This constellation is found in the southern sky.
This is my constellation named the Lynx. The lynx constellation has many myths though i am going to tell you one of the shorter ones. What this myth was about was that a person named Hevelius named the constellation between Gemini, Auriga, and Ursa Major which is Lynx. He had named this constellation because it is so faint that no one like Hevelius could see it unless you had the eyesight of a Lynx. Because of this he challenged many people who used telescopes.
My favorite constellation is Libra, because it is the constellation of my son's zodiac. Libra is the Latin word for 'weighing scales,' and it's symbol is the scales. It lies between Virgo and Scorpio. The brightest Libra stars form a quadrangle. There are "at least" six planets within Libra.
The constellation I have chosen is Cancer. I chose this constellation because it is my zodiac sign. Naturally, I found it interesting to learn about and write an essay on my discovery and creation theory. Cancer is Latin for "Crab", The name was chosen because the representation of the the constellation is in fact a crab. The constellation is 506 sq. degrees and made up of faint stars.
Leo /ˈliːoʊ/ is one of the constellations of the zodiac, lying between Cancer to the west and Virgo to the east. Its name is Latin for lion, and to the ancient Greeks represented the Nemean Lion killed by the mythical Greek hero Heracles (known to the ancient Romans as Hercules) as one of his twelve labors. Its symbol is Leo.svg (Unicode ♌). One of the 48 constellations described by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, Leo remains one of the 88 modern constellations today, and one of the most easily recognizable due to its many bright stars and a distinctive shape that is reminiscent of the crouching lion it depicts. The lion's mane and shoulders also form an asterism known as "the Sickle," which to modern observers may resemble a backwards
My favorite constellation is Sagittarius because not only is it my horoscope, it has my favorite star in it. Kaus Astraulis. In fact, this star is the brightest in the constellation. It's many times larger than our Sun, and despite being so bright, it's one hundred and forty five years away from us. Back to the topic of Sagittarius, it also has my favorite mythological creature in it- a centaur drawing its bow.
The firm in question deals in the trading of wheat and barley into domestic end users including feedlots and flour millers. This operational plan provides the structure of the operation, the long-term business strategy in place, a summary budget for this strategy, a description of planned major projects and available resources to support them. A discussion concerning how the operational plan will be implemented and monitored is followed by a description of the performance targets that will be used. The operational plan then delineates the respective responsibilities for the proposed actions, and provides relevant timeframes for projects goals and evaluations. Finally, an assessment of the measures that will be taken to improve resource use and the elimination of waste is followed by a discussion concerning learning needs and contingency measures that may be required.
