As I step out onto the field I smack in the face the aroma of the freshly cut grass. I get the sense of being home after a long trip away. It’s great to be home where I know I have fans that will cheer us on. The grounds crew is out working on the field to get it ready for the game later tonight. The grounds crew is working hard to get everything ready for the game later tonight. After, watching the grounds crew for a little, I go back into the clubhouse to start getting ready for the game. There were a few of my teammates in the clubhouse who were getting ready for batting practice. “Hey, do you guys know what time batting practice is?” I question them “I think it start at 5,” he answered. “Ok thanks.” I said After, I got ready for batting
My team and I was starting to play the game and we were up to bat first. I was the sixth in line to bat so it felt like forever for me to bat and once you're up there and the ball is coming at you, you just want to run away from the ball. When I hit the ball I ran as fast as i could and i could feel the wind carry me to first base. Then it was our turn to field and once you're out there you can just feel the tasteless dirt in your mouth. When you make a good play it makes you feel all good inside.
This day was busy, but I was able to help out more by checking patients in and checking them out this time around. Felt a lot more comfortable with the system and interacting with the clients and their pets. This was my last day working in the front, I enjoyed working with Leonore and the rest of the staff in the front but, I am very excited to work in the back to get hands on experience working with the technician’s and the doctor’s.
Week one has passed by quickly! I think this week was very successful and I can say that I have learned many new things. This week has been an experience for me learning things about the business world. I am not a business major so I was not expecting to take these classes. I was assigned them, but have found them very beneficial. As I read through the first couple of chapters I read things I had heard before. This was a good thing that I could put the information with the terms I had heard previously.
Doctor Larry Smith was the Pediatrician in Toombs County for as long as I can remember. He was well-known and loved in the community and a member of Lyons First United Methodist Church. Dr. Larry was married and he had two daughters, one stepdaughter and a stepson.
I want you to know just how much I miss you. Life has been very different out here living my life on the front lines. I miss running through the fields and playing baseball with you. I miss going down to the lake and fishing with you. I hope that you know that I would do anything to be with you right now but sadly I can’t. I have now realized war isn’t what it is made out to be. Some movies make soldiers out to be some extraordinary heroes and show that the good guys never die but that's not the case in the real battlefield. As it turns out underneath the uniform is just a normal person like me or you. Also, as it turns out the good guys die too, and a lot of them. Life in the trenches might be worse than it is made out to be. Living conditions
For this project I think Merry and I worked extremely well together, and were very collaborative. We were both a part of every step of the process, from booking equipment, to filming to editing. We tried to be good at communicating with one another as things came up, as well stay in touch about our progress. Overall, I think we worked very well as a team, and I look forward to working with Merry in the future.
The wind rushes through my hair as I speed through the back roads to my happy place. The humongous corn fields quickly disappear into my rear view mirror when I rip off the road into the field. I can feel the bass bouncing through out my jeep as Shania Twain blares through the speaks of my jeep. With my windows down, I’m sure everyone in 4 mile radius can hear my music too. My hands grip the leather wheel as I hit each bump of the open field. As I hear my friends singing Party For Two with me, a laugh escapes my mouth. I know my friends aren’t paying attention as I speed up to hit the steep 2 foot drop off. My body leaves my seat as I scream with joy, but Lexie and Mackenzie scream with terror as they bounce around their seats. Over dramatic
Standing on that rugged practice field on a brisk Friday night, I begin to feel my nerves clench inside my rushing body. Looking to my right, the cheers of the crowd congratulate the younger boys as they stroll off the field. The bright lights glow beyond the ginormous section of bleachers and ancient trees. Lining up on the curb, the drumline pounds a beat that sends chills down my spine. My team strides down Prospect street at the heels of the drums. No words are said, as I tune into the scratchy, clicking sound of my shining white, size-twelve cleats making contact with the car-lined road.
Most people are all grown up when they finally figure out what they want to do with their life. I was 4. I realized what I wanted to be when I attended my very first Rodeo. Even though it was so long ago I can remember that day like it was yesturday. That day got me on the path to my future.
Sports- Baseball was out at the fields today. All the kids were having fun with their fathers and coaches. The mothers looked happy watching and conversing with the other baseball moms.
We haven't talked in a while so I thought I send you a quick e-mail. My life has been school, running, sleep, and music! School is going well like all my teachers (for the most part)! I haven't raced yet in cross country because I got sick a few week ago... I am just not getting over it, and I was supposed to have a meet on Saturday, but it was canceled due to horrible course conditions. I have been spending a lot of time producing music... Over this last summer, I got very serious about it. Realistically, I don't think it will be a career field for me, but you never know, and I really enjoy it. I've thought myself a lot, but I think I will be meeting with some actual audio engineers to learn even more. Right now music production
The summer of 2016 I began to work in order to have money for myself and to help my family out, economically. It was definitely the worst job ever, it was in the field so it was obviously very hot, exhausting, and challenging. I arrived at work at about 6 am and it was already very hot, and I had to work in the sun all day until about 5 pm. By the end of summer, I was already all sunburned. Working in the sun almost all day and everyday was very exhausting for me. I would get home and take a shower, eat, and sleep until the next day to wake up for work again. The work was very challenging, because my wage was depending on what I made in the day. I had to work very fast in order to make many dozens of onions in order to have a good check by
I know how scary it is for you to put yourself out there.. yet, I keep rejecting you. And the one time I did say yes, my two friends ended up tagging along lol. I'm sorry. I really am. And I'm aware that saying sorry isn't going to fix anything unless I put the effort to change it. SO, if you are free tomorrow, let's do something. I promise I won't lag
Though time I had a lot of accomplishments some very good and some not so good growing up was hard but I was determined to be the best I can!!?
My most significant experience in my life is unforgettable. I was there with my sisters, my mom, and my dad. It was the most horrifying event that I have ever witnessed. The daunting image in my head is still clear as day, as though it happened yesterday. This event did not affect only me, but also my family. The story that I am about to tell you may change the way you see things and it may not. All I can say is, it
