Though time I had a lot of accomplishments some very good and some not so good growing up was hard but I was determined to be the best I can!!? My accomplishment I had that made me who I am today is I had determination to win this game for my team I been playing football since I was 4 I never won a championship we were in the championship against pine hill I was 14 last year of city football there was 10 minutes left on the clock and I were down by 3 touchdowns I told my team in the huddles don’t give up on me I won’t on you guys we can do this for our city so we were on defense I was determined to get that ball and score a touchdown so they hike the ball and it’s 3 down and I’m playing linebacker and I see the qb roll out to the left and I run and I hit him and he fumbles I jump up and scoop that ball up and fun for the td so we’re down by 14 points with 9 minutes left …show more content…
We kick back off the ball and the kick returner runs out and my boy nate hits him as hard as he can and he drops the ball and my boy q lays on it and we got the ball back it’s only 8 and a half minutes left in the 4 Quarter so we’re on offense and we didn’t score yet it 4th down and we go for it and I get off my block make my own route and my qb throws me the ball and I make the catch and run it in for the touchdown so we’re only down by
They got the ball first so, we kicked it to them and they received the ball they ran it to the 30 yard line and then they ran their first play they ran the
We march onto the field and took our positons to stop the other team. Boom the kick was off I ran as fast as I can and hit the guy with the ball. Okay I said to myself I got the first tackle now the real game has started no time to think about anything else but the game. Surprising we were doing a good job stopping them from moving the ball. The next thing I remember we had the ball. On offense I was lined up against one of the giants from their team. Wow I was scared but once we hit, I notice he was not all that good. Now drive my own self-motivation I began to play like the me I know. As everything was going good I can feel the whole mood of the game change. We were holding our ground with a team that should be beating us. Every moment of the game felt like a dream but the pain was
I jogged over to my position and began examining my opponent. He was a tall, large person. I knew that I had to use technique to be able to compete with this person because my size obviously was not enough. Driving this person back turned out to be easier than I thought it would be. Maybe it was because of my skill or maybe he just wasn’t as good as I anticipated. Play after play I was able to overpower him and have our running backs or receivers make multiple plays. The game played out in our favor and we ended up winning 28-8.
Finally, the day of our first game had arrived. All of us had butterflies in our stomachs. It was the type of feeling you get when you know you are well prepared for something, but you inexplicably still feel nervous. As soon as the ball was kicked first, all of the anxious feelings I had melted away and the game became quite fun. Just as the prior years, the first game had the easiest opponent to beat and my team and I had no problem securing a victory against them. The second game was a bit more of a challenge, but defeating that team was nothing we were not prepared for. The true challenge came in the third and championship game. Although we enjoyed a bye game due to our two previous victories, the other team had the advantage of some truly God-gifted athletes. In particular, number seven was a beast of a thirteen-year-old. He stood at an impressive six feet tall and he towered over us on every snap. During the first drive, we had marched the ball down the field slowly but surely and on the four-yard line we fumbled. Of course, number seven picked up the ball and ran it back for a touchdown. At halftime, our coach sat us down and had a long talk with us. Even though we were discouraged by their touchdown, we picked ourselves up and started scoring. We scored two rushing touchdowns in the third quarter and one more in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Not only did we come back from a losing
Its 2 minutes and forty two seconds left on the clock. Coach mason called a few plays to run the clock down just in case if the play, he called for me to go in with the score didn’t work and the opposing have a lot of time to go down and score. Right before coach mason called the play he looked at me, and gave me a head nod, I knew it was time for me to come through for the team and fulfill my responsibility. We were on the opposing team 33 yard line, I was a little nervous, but confident in my abilities, the ball was snapped Devin threw the ball to me, on the same Seminole screen that I had just ran a couple of plays back, I caught the ball set up the block for Keonte’ worked my way towards the sideline I saw Brandon in front of me and a couple of would be defenders. I made a move towards the inside to give Brandon a leverage on the block so it would open the lane for me to score as I approached the end zone knowing I was going to take a hit I stuck the ball out with two hands past the goal line and I went in for the touchdown. The crowd and the sidelines went crazy, I was the hero of the game. I finished the game with 4 catches for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Starting high school can be a little scary, especially when you have no guidance from siblings, like me, being the first one from my family to have an education. But that did not stop me from succeeding, I?ve always been confident and determined. I?m an enthusiastic when it comes to trying new things. Who would have thought I was going to be a good athlete plus a book geek, when in my past years I was just a regular kid. I was pretty excited about joining a club that had a connection with high school, that way I didn?t have to start from zero, I always want to be a step ahead. Fortunately, in summer, a high school coach was recruiting freshmen for running either cross country or track, they both involve running, so I considered it like the same sport with different timing. And this is when it all started. Running
The Wildcats tackled S.A.S.H at the Wildcats own 47 yard line. 1st and 10 S.A.S.H. gets a 40 yard run. Coach puts me in at defensive end. Next play they score a 10 yard rushing TD. The score is now 7-0. Wildcats are at their own 40 yard line. Next play their is a bad snap. S.A.S.H recovers the football at the Wildcats 36 yard line.
He looked downfield, and he found a receiver. We were already at the 50, but the clock was still ticking. 43, 42, 41... Once again, Shibi took the snap and looked downfield. He saw me, and threw the ball, but the ball was tipped the last second and the ball was a little short. All I could do was to tackle the cornerback, so it would not be a pick, and so it was an incomplete pass. The clock stopped at 35 seconds, and we were allowed a huddle. After we got a couple more plays, we were still at the 40, we barely gained 10 yards, but the clock was at was at the 5 seconds left. Enough time for one hail mary. Shibi took the possible last snap for the season and dropped back as I sped downfield. I was at the 30, 25, 20 15, 10, at the 5, and I was wide open! I looked back, but Shibi was in trouble. All he could do was not get sacked, and a cornerback saw I was wide open and sped towards me. Out of sheer desperation, Shibi lateraled it to the running back to buy a few seconds, and lateraled it back to him, and Shibi bombed the ball to me. The cornerback and the ball were both streaking towards me, but the cornerback won. Then, the ball came a milli-second later, and we both jumped up at the same exact
All of the hard work culminated in our last game of the season, the division title was on the line. With fifty-six seconds left in the game, we earned a corner kick. A perfect ball spiraled toward the six-yard box. Time slowed to a crawl as I felt my body leap into the air. Reaction, muscle memory and instinct took over. My teammates erupted when the ball whizzed off my head and landed in the back of the net. The clock buzzed seconds later and we all ran together to celebrate our win. I was elated we had won the game, but more importantly, I felt satisfied, and not just because of the goal.
Until I walked onto the stage to take a bow, I didn’t realize that I just danced, acted and sang a solo. It took me a long time to get to that fifth grade Christmas play where I wasn’t shy anymore. Due to the fact that I wasn’t Darth Vader anymore, so I didn’t need a mask strapped onto my face to breathe at night. Asthma, respirators and surgeries were what my childhood consisted of and I would have time to, at most, socialize with my family. Years after my final surgery, my currently bubbly-self erupted from within and many of my friends never knew how I was before.
As all my teammates ran up to congratulate me on my 55 yard touchdown I realized that we were still in this game. As I stood in the end zone, I finally started to realized what I had just done. I had finally proven myself to everyone including my teammates and my coach. Perhaps most importantly of all, however, I had proven to myself that I had what it took to play on the varsity level. It was something I had yet to prove before that game and is something that I will never
From a young age, athletics were a very important part of my life and soccer was my passion. Whether it was playing on boy’s teams and summer leagues, or refereeing tournaments and coaching soccer camps, I was constantly trying to improve my game. When I came to college, I was excited to have the opportunity to continue playing soccer. Unfortunately, I received several concussions and I had some complications that ultimately forced me to stop playing soccer after my sophomore year. At first I was distraught, all of my personal goals were gone and I was no longer working with my teammates toward the goals we set together. However, I realized I needed to find new interests and new objectives to work towards during the rest of my time in college.
My personal accomplishment has taught me a lot about myself and who I am as a person. It taught me how much strength I actually have within myself that I never in a million years thought I had. It was hundred times more difficult that I thought it was going to be going into it. This challenge that I feel that has been an important demonstration of a personal accomplishment is when I attended a student trooper program a couple of years ago.
Throughout my life, I feel like I have been pretty successful. I have been able to accomplish some of my personal goals, while both being able to give back to my community and plan for my future. I hope that my with the success I have had already, will help me have an even more successful life in the future.
My most significant experience in my life is unforgettable. I was there with my sisters, my mom, and my dad. It was the most horrifying event that I have ever witnessed. The daunting image in my head is still clear as day, as though it happened yesterday. This event did not affect only me, but also my family. The story that I am about to tell you may change the way you see things and it may not. All I can say is, it
