Hi Team, I would like to start off by apologizing for my repeated absences. Lately I have been busy with school, work, and college planning. I realize this is no excuse as we all have made sacrifices to be fully prepared for whatever this trip may endure. This trip, along with the benefit of our team, is my top priority. I by no means take the importance of teamwork lightly; as Carla says, the trip starts long before we step foot in the airport. Again I'm very sorry and this is my commitment that I will a better teammate and be more
As a paraprofessional one of the biggest problems that is face is the collaboration between the team of the student you work with. I work on a team of twenty-one people who I must communicate with most of them daily or weekly basis. The main issue I face is working with the Special Education teacher and regular classroom teacher in curriculum. The reason being is that I don’t get things modified for my student occurring to the IEP and preview the materials ahead of time. Just being given the material to work with the day of is hard because if I must modify I don’t get the planning time to do so. Then I run into the student having behaviors cause the material is too hard. Looking at the problem-solving worksheet from De Boer I really like the
Starting high school can be a little scary, especially when you have no guidance from siblings, like me, being the first one from my family to have an education. But that did not stop me from succeeding, I?ve always been confident and determined. I?m an enthusiastic when it comes to trying new things. Who would have thought I was going to be a good athlete plus a book geek, when in my past years I was just a regular kid. I was pretty excited about joining a club that had a connection with high school, that way I didn?t have to start from zero, I always want to be a step ahead. Fortunately, in summer, a high school coach was recruiting freshmen for running either cross country or track, they both involve running, so I considered it like the same sport with different timing. And this is when it all started. Running
Week one has passed by quickly! I think this week was very successful and I can say that I have learned many new things. This week has been an experience for me learning things about the business world. I am not a business major so I was not expecting to take these classes. I was assigned them, but have found them very beneficial. As I read through the first couple of chapters I read things I had heard before. This was a good thing that I could put the information with the terms I had heard previously.
After a challenging move from De Pere to Sturgeon Bay between my freshman and sophomore year, I can officially say that I have adapted well to my new community. In the beginning of sophomore year, one of my goals was to become as involved in my new high school as I was my old high school. I have accomplished that by becoming a part of the soccer team and joining a variety of clubs that all mean a lot to me. For example, A-Team works with other students that have learning disabilities to make social interaction a little more comfortable. In my opinion, creating a better learning environment for them not only benefits all of the students in that environment but it feels really rewarding.
A few years after moving to Freeburg, on a trip to Freedom Farm, while swimming in the mossy area of the lake, I had caught a medium sized frog and dubbed it ‘Buddy.’ Buddy would sit upon my shoulder and wouldn’t jump off. I thought he was special. He was probably just smart enough not to jump off a four foot tall child.
The reason i started painting and drawing in the first place is i found that i am truly happiest when creating. I thoroughly enjoy the struggle of drawing and painting scenes or ideas created through imagination. Creating art was never about money to me, it was about seeking happiness and a sense of purpose.
In this era when collaboration is vital to succeed as a scientist, I have active collaborations with Emory University School of Medicine and Texas Tech Paul Foster School of Medicine. I actively participate in departmental and college-wide services, as well as professional organizations and scholarly journals. I sought as an advisor and consultant on scientific and technological programs and problems, which extend well beyond my area of specialty. These experiences demonstrate that I have the skill in providing scientific advice, collaboration, and consultation.
For this project I think Merry and I worked extremely well together, and were very collaborative. We were both a part of every step of the process, from booking equipment, to filming to editing. We tried to be good at communicating with one another as things came up, as well stay in touch about our progress. Overall, I think we worked very well as a team, and I look forward to working with Merry in the future.
I have had the pleasure of working with children from foreign countries in a first grade classroom. In order to communicate with this group of learners, who mainly speak Urdu and Arabic, I am in constant collaboration with my cooperating teacher in order to make sure information is swift, easily understood, and created to reach the masses that I teach. Part of the reason my students have been able to succeed as well as they have without me being a native speaker of one of their languages was due to the great collaboration me and my cooperating teacher provided. We sat down multiples times a week to evaluate the current week’s work and success, plan next week’s work, and collaborate to come up with specific, meaningful work and activities
My vision for Lehigh Athletics is that, as a whole, we are constantly striving to make improvements. For me specifically, this means continually examining my own performance as well as my teammates performance and helping them improve in any way possible. I am working to improve my team culture, and help all of my teammates reach peak performance.
Well the first week of the semester is in the books and at this point I can wholeheartedly say I’m very happy with how things are going. Prior to last week I was anxious about beginning work in the clinic, however, I already see myself becoming more comfortable with each passing day.
Now that I have a girlfriend her parents, and my parents know, her parents also now know that i’m a militia leader. With them knowing that they figure I can keep her safe, so I guess her parents like me.
I have demonstrated my strong communication skills, both written and verbal, throughout my career. Currently working with USAID/LPA, it is my responsibility to reach out to “Internal Communication Point of Contact” and update their information in the database. I have done some research about how to establish a good communication between missions, regional, and Washington D.C. and proposed an integrated plan to the Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator, and Internal Communication Director at Bureau for Legislative and Public Affairs. In my previous role i regularly liaised with different stakeholders to construct a meaningful project, and built a strong relationship with them. I also prepared and developed various training manuals, as well as
“Ok,we will see who wins next week, if you guys think you guys are goody tissues then we will see who wins”
I am always open to help and always look for opportunities to collaborate with my team. So, among other things, I have continued to help my peers with Hispanic calls, billing questions, or reviewing their voice mail while on PTO. During this year I received reward cards for being a team player and for my positive attitude on the part of both, my supervisor and my colleagues. I am proud to be part of a great
