Strengths, Talents, Abilities from Peers The people around you all view situations in a different perspective. Peers are a great source of feedback. One of my biggest achievements was getting nominated to go to a seminar in Boston for future medical students. From this knowledge, my peers identified that my main strengths are perseverance, dedication, and determination Additional Strengths, Talents, Abilities I have many other strengths beside the ones my peers identified. Gratitude is one of my strengths. This means that I am aware and thankful for the things that happen or I have in my life. I avoid taking things for granted and value my life. Another strength is Prudence. This means that I process my actions and do not go through with
The argument placed in Mandell’s book is stated in the Prologue. It states “...King Philip's War was ultimately a war of sovereignty as well as land,”(3). The supporting points are separated throughout the book. Mandell includes multiple primary resources, such as Mary Rowlandson’s account of being captured; hopefully, showing the English that the Natives were serious about their land. Not only does Mandell use Rowlandson’s account, he also refers to many of the colonists journals and publications afterwards.
My second key strength is showing gratitude to others. If someone does something for me or helps me develop a new skill. I show gratitude to them by thanking them, and I tell them that really appreciate their help. I am there for that person when they need my help.
I believe that my strength are that I am a fast leaner. I do not give up easily, and I also make sure if I am going go to do something I do it to the best of my abilities.
I think that one of my best strengths is that I can get along with people. Going to a large high school has led me to become the mediator in a number of situations and I learned how to make people feel better and prevent future conflicts. This is a very important skill to have in the community due to the fact that most of my life is in the presence of other
My second and third ranking strength were Empathy and Harmony. Out of all the strengths these are the two I feel really go hand-in-hand. “Empathy-You can see the sense of emotions of those around you. You can feel what they are feeling as though their feelings were your own. Intuitively, you are able to see the world through their eyes and share their perspective. You do not necessarily agree with each person’s perspective. You do not necessarily feel pity for each person’s predicament-this would be sympathy not empathy. You do not necessarily condone the choices each person makes, but you do understand. The instinctive ability to understand is powerful.” “Harmony-You look for areas of agreement. In your view there is little to be gained from conflict and friction, so you seek to hold them to a minimum. When you know people around you hold differing views, you try to find a common ground.” (PH.Ds, Clifton, O., Anderson, E., Schreiner, L., Pg 26) When I was still digesting my strengths out of all the top five listed these two I am most grateful for, and in my opinion will be the most useful not only in life, but also in the
My personal strengths are that I am a keen learner and organized person because like Benjamin Franklin I believe that if I fail to plan then I am planning to fail. Above all I am confident that I have made the right choice and that I am a suitable candidate for
My dominant strength is feeling and being able to help other people. With feeling being my biggest strength, we are best when responsible for winning peoples cooperation with personal caring and practical help. By reading on ESFJ, I found out that I am sociable, orderly, opinioned, conscientious and realistic. All of these definitions fit my personality perfectly and really define who I am.
The strength I think is most like me is Activator. I am a very excitable person and if something exciting enough is going to start I can't wait one bit. I like being hands on and being able to try something even if I don't quite get it yet. I always like to initiate new ideas in my life and encourage my friends to try their best. Another strength I have is Consistency, that is
In addition to my personal challenges my personal strengths interfer. A personal strength I have is talking , I love sharing my opinion. Another personal strength I have is giving good advice because I love helping people solve their problem or help make their lives easier. Lastly another personal strength I have is just listening because I am a good person to vent to because I don’t judge. Therefore I always spread positivity and lean a hand.
I feel that my peers would believe me to be a dedicated, helpful, and friendly teammate and group member. With the several teams I participate in, I believe that I portray a hardworking and kind teammate. I have made many great friendships with everyone on each team. I always try to give advice or kind words to a nervous teammate before her race or game. I also make an effort to make sure the freshmen on each team are comfortable, knowing how nervous I was when I was in their shoes. I try to be a non-intimidating presence for them, usually being the one to answer their questions or simply talk to them. On the field or track, I think teammates would describe me as hardworking. Although not the best athlete, I try to improve myself and others
If someone was to ask me how I would review myself as a student when I was in high school I would laugh. But if I was that same high school kid and was asked how I would review a 19 year old man in his first year of community college I would look to him as an example of someone who is destined to be successful. Rewinding back to my high school career I faced a few challenges, ones that I have accomplished and ones that I am working hard on overcoming. I faced ADHD issues in my life as well as procrastination in almost every one of my classes. Even today as a freshman at McHenry County College I have got into old habits of procrastination and staying attentive. But as a student who strives for success I do not let my weaknesses define me, I learn from them so I will not make the same mistakes in my future college endeavors. An academic strength I would like to point out is my ability to manage my time wisely, which is something I have worked hard on since I graduated in May of 2016 to today. I use calendars, reminders on my phone, and planners so that I can be the student I had wanted to be when I was in high school. My last academic strength I will point out is my passion to be successful today and tomorrow. I make goals and I complete them. From saving up my money to buy my first car, to starting off strong in my first year of community college and finishing my first semester with all A’s, which is something I will achieve. Overall, I believe a mindset to be successful in
Strengths that make me stand out and make me who I am, communication, friendliness, dependability are just some on the list. All of which I can use to get the job I want and need, getting a job in general is an accomplishment to met but I wanted to push myself to do better and to step out of my comfort zone. I knew doing this would not only get me a better job but it would prove to myself that I am capable of many things. I learned about having good communication and talking skills when I attended the event “Breaking Down the Walls” at my high school. This was an event that helped people step out of their comfort zone and communicate with one another. I learned that life is all about connections and in order to be successful, interacting with others will help do
According to Strength Finders, my strengths are adaptability, includer, consistency, empathy, and relator. For the most part I have always been very aware of most of my strengths, but the others I haven't really paid much attention to.
My first strength was strategic. I do consider this strategic one of my strengths. Usually when new technology comes out like the iPhone, I do whatever to get it. I know I would have to get a job in order to get what I wanted, so I did. My goal was to get my iPhone and I needed money. I had a plan to get a job and work to save up as much money as I needed. I applied at a movie theater, and did exactly that. My parents said it was too much money to spend on a phone, but that did not stop me. One I have a goal I try and do whatever I can to achieve that goal. I come up with a careful plan and steps to achieve my goal. I consider this a strength because it does not just go for buying the newest technology, but for everything. I try and plan things out because for me it is more helpful to know where I am going. Being strategic is probably one of my strongest strengths.
My strengths show me that I am a people person and I am good when it comes to leading all types of diverse people. I have always been told that I am a great listener and my energy level I know is through the roof because I work with children all day every day. I try to live my life by the code of honesty and to treat others the way that I would like to be treated. They have benefited greatly in my life with my career and personal life because I utilize them each and every day to make myself a better
