I feel that my peers would believe me to be a dedicated, helpful, and friendly teammate and group member. With the several teams I participate in, I believe that I portray a hardworking and kind teammate. I have made many great friendships with everyone on each team. I always try to give advice or kind words to a nervous teammate before her race or game. I also make an effort to make sure the freshmen on each team are comfortable, knowing how nervous I was when I was in their shoes. I try to be a non-intimidating presence for them, usually being the one to answer their questions or simply talk to them. On the field or track, I think teammates would describe me as hardworking. Although not the best athlete, I try to improve myself and others
From the Strength Finder website questionnaire, my individualized leadership strengths are as follows: achiever, command, context, focus, and significance. In this essay I will elaborate on these in detail and the ways they explicitly relate to my personality and the different experiences and activities of my life. I have also researched several articles that discuss transformational leadership and how this pertains to the literature on the subject. I will discuss transformational leadership in comparison to my own strengths, and explain how my leadership style may progress as I advance through this nurse practitioners program.
• Positivity: Positivity is for someone who is upbeat and positive, which tends to rub off on others.
Throughout Middle School, I have become a much better writer than I was at the beginning of 6th grade. I remember back in 5th grade when I had to do a 4-page essay, I had issues getting over half a page. I made it but, it took a while. Now I can easily type up a quick 2-page essay. I have many strengths as a writer. Some of these are how fast I can write, and my ability to pad out sentences in a way that still adds something to them, while still making it longer. I still need lots of improvement, for instance, I am not the best with word choice or figuring out a proper sounding way to get my point across.
Personal strengths are abilities, talents, and characteristics that God has given us. Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well”. God has given everyone amazing characteristics that most people would describe them as. Even though most people don’t like talking about their own positive characteristics, we all have amazing gifts and talents. When I was talking to my friends, they gave me three characteristics that they see in me. The abilities that God has blessed me with are, a strong athlete, a good friend, and servant-hearted. I have thought about what these mean to me and I am going to describe each of them.
Right now I play basketball and volleyball, and I start for both teams, so athleticness are in my blood:) I am caring, I won't give up on someone, but, I will care for them until the end. I care for each sport I play and how I play it. I am a good teammate, I won't let my team fall apart, but, I will lift them up and get each other back on our feet. Being a good teammate isn't just about lifting them up, but also being there for them when they need us most. I am responsible, I get to my games and practices on time, and remember all the things I need for that sport. I work hard in school to play the sports I play as well. (Keeping all A’s since 3rd grade.) I am encouraging, I don't like to feel down. My job as a teammate is to encourage people to get out of the dirt and back on the road. (I usually will get called for a coach if he/she needs, our team spirit back and going.) I am faithful, I have always
Boom! Sara shakes. She is now at her fifth day of her job. A blacksmith. Sara lives in a society where everyone is treated equally. She gets a schedule for who she can and can’t talk to during the week. The schedule also has certain words she can only use. It seems like everyone in this community is happy. At 14 years old, you get assigned two friends. One girl and one guy. You have to discuss your day with them everyday at exactly 5:00 pm. If you’re late, there will be many consequences. Sara’s two friends are Jack and Ashley. She isn’t very fond of them but she knows she has to be. It is now time for them to meet. Ashley and Jack start to talk about how many their lives are. They begin to ask, “Sara, how is your life been?” Sara starts to cry and walks away.
As a student, I have a lot of academic strengths. For starters, I’m an outstanding writer. I’ll spend as much time as it takes to produce a top-notch paper. For instance, I wrote an essay that ended up getting published in the Tulsa World. Another good example of my writing skills has to do with my ability to research a topic. In my senior English class, I spent many hours researching for what turned out to be a rather lengthy paper over various aspects of campaign finance reform. My paper was given the highest grade in the class. My paper was also submitted to the all-state research paper competition. My paper won third place in this competition.
According to the results of the Brief Strengths Test, one of my top strengths is Gratitude. I believe that The definition of gratitude is more profound than just saying the word "thank you", as it is ability to convey to people that you appreciate them and what they do for you. A time in my life when I demonstrated gratitude was a few months ago, as I was preparing to move from my home town of Yoqne’am to Herzeliyya, to begin my college studies. My parents were a crucial part in this transition as they reassured me constantly, stressing their faith in my abilities and showing unconditional love and support. Naturally, since my parents are concerned, their support might have seemed obvious and gone unnoticed, but I made certain to realize my
The Discover Your Strengths (DYS) Program has had difficulties trying to increase attendance and awareness among university students and staff, affecting less than 2% of the student population on the best years that your program has experienced. Individuals who take the assessment find value on it, and they recommend their employees or students to take it. However, the key challenge of this campaign is to come up with recommendations that attract new students or professionals, who have to decide to participate on their own.
I’ve always enjoyed working in a more intimate team dynamic, despite personal challenges with social awkwardness. Team 2 was an interesting mix of skills and personalities, and I found our strengths complemented each other’s weaknesses nicely. It took some time to understand everyone’s personalities and flesh out team dynamics, but we were very proactive in sharing information and ideas throughout the experience.

As it turns out with many people, our strengths can also be weaknesses, depending on how one looks at them. Personally, my drive and work ethic can cause me to be impatient. It has been difficult to wait 3 years to get my degree. It will take me additional patience to go to chiropractic school and wait another 3.5 ears to enter the working field. Patience for me is a daily commitment to my goals.
The variations of my strengths are expressed in many aspects of my daily life. Being a university student is a part of a lifetime experience that adds on to the many aspects in life that molded my identity and characteristics. My desire for success in life is a core strength of mine, because my goal is to achieve success through being determined, and to make sound choices. My journey in life will be influenced by my passion for life. If I am ready every day for the unexpected and unknown, then I can reach my long-term goals. A daily challenge will be setting specific goals and sticking to them. If I let fear take a hold of me, then I could be derailed from my goals.
My current strengths include; my honesty and passion towards my work. I have always been positive and confident regarding my aims and targets.
