Paul Rusesabagina is the definition of this quote , he was an ordinary man, with an extraordinary tongue. Paul’s tongue was his most significant asset throughout his career, the genocide, and his life. Paul did not need a machete or a knife during the genocide, his tongue was his weapon. He used the power of his tongue to defend the refugees, the Hotel Mille Collines, his family, and himself from the evilness of the genocide. When the genocide first began, Paul was stopped at a roadblock on the way to the Hotel so he could unlock the doors, by the Captain holding a rifle. The Captain said to him “ And you, traitor, are lucky we aren’t

Over the one hundred days of constant massacres, over eight thousand people died per day. Paul should really feel proud, at least he saved as many lives as he could. When Paul is confused about why the Army did not kill him, reveals another example of him showing his anger. Paul thinks, "I still don't understand why those men in the militias didn’t just put a bullet in my head and execute every last person in the rooms upstairs but they didn’t" (77). He shows his feelings of playing such a little role by bribing, using negotiating skills, and his want to give everyone in need a place to stay.

and affection even for his enemies. This is shown after capturing Russian soldiers and keeping them as slaves Paul comes across as seeing them as human, where Paul says, "A word of command has made these silent figures our enemies; a word of command might transform them into our friends" (Remarque, 193). Showing hostility for the Russian slaves that he feels can be friends. Questions to why they are enemies, he sees that commanding the silent soldiers make them enemies but with no war they are friends. With all these men having families and children he cannot kill take a father away from their family. In an end result Paul has no reason to live and can’t live in a world the constant killing of innocent lives. This is seen when Paul sees no more healing to life, after meeting his family on leave he cannot feel the same way for others. Unable to express his feelings or talk about the experiences from war, Paul becomes ready to die, “He had fallen forward and lay on the earth as though sleeping. Turning him over one saw that he could not have suffered long; his face had an expression of calm, as though almost glad the end had come" (Remarque, 296). Entering a situation
It was the year 1839 and French painter Paul Delaroche, having witnessed the birth of photography, ostensibly declared painting deceased (Batchen 2001, 129; Mirzoeff 2009, 63). Eighty-two years later in 1921, Russian artist Alexander Rodchenko after exhibiting his triptych of the three primary colours Pure Red Colour, Pure Yellow Colour, Pure Blue Colour (1921), stated factually that he had “reduced painting to its logical conclusion” thus killing painting once more (Rfya 2002, 209). Painting suffered yet another obituary in the 1960s when Minimalist Donald Judd, a painter turned sculptor, decreed “It looks like painting is finished” (Obendorf 2009, 31). However, despite the various undertakers of the art world within the last one-hundred and eighty years endeavouring to irrefutably bury painting, painting refuses to die.

I have the best friends in the whole world and their names are Zach and Domenic. If I had to pick the “better” friend even though I love them both the same I would pick Zach over Domenic for many reasons. Zach is more kind, funny and I known him longer than I have known Domenic. For example I have known Domenic for a little more over a year while I have known Zach for over three years now. I have known Zach since High School, I know more about Zach then I know about Domenic. Another interesting fact is that Domenic is one of the most kindest people I have ever met in my entire life and he is always there for me when I need it even though he lives far away. But Zach is always here for me physically whenever I am hurt or if

Instead, I was named after the hero of a famous Armenian epic. The Epic is titled David of Sassoun.
