That is interesting there are so many paintings they choose not to name their art. I view it like children after the eighth child people stop getting creative and just naming their children generic names like Bill, Tom, Jane, Unknown. Well at any rate. When I got up close to this image I really didn’t like it. However, I moved around the gallery and eventually came back around and when I saw it from a distance it had changed. I’m not saying the image had become a different image it just it looked more cohesive and fluent. At this point I found it much more interesting. So, I went back started analyzing it and I knew this was the painting I wanted to wright my paper
Christopher Matthewson also known as “Big Six”, “the Christian gentlemen”, “Matty”, and “Gentleman’s Hurler” played Major League Baseball and was a right handed pitcher and played seventeen seasons with the New York Giants. He was voted the most dominant pitcher in the history of baseball and is ranked in the top ten in many key pitching groups, including wins, shutouts, and ERA, if taking 19th century pitchers statistics into account. Otherwise Matthewson and Walter Johnson would hold the distinction of being the only two pitchers placed in the top ten in both career wins and ERA. In 1936 Christopher got called to be into the Major League Baseball Hall Of Fame, as one of its first couple players. (Wikipedia)
This painting is a portrait of an old woman who is sitting on a chair while facing to the left. She is wearing a yellow flower dress with a beige jacket while sitting in an empty room. Her beauty is illustrated by her curly, gray hair and also her wrinkled face, neck, and hands. These details is what makes her look real and pure. I like how detailed it is because it reminds me of my grandmothers.
Caesar Rodney, the first of the delegation from Delaware, was a native of that state, and was born about the year 1730. His birth-place was Dover. The family, from which he was descended, was of ancient date, and is honorably spoken of in the history of early times. We read of Sir Walter De Rodeney, of Sir George De Rodeney, and Sir Henry De Rodeney, with several others of the same name, even earlier than the year 1234. Sir Richard De Rodeney accompanied the gallant Richard Coeur de Lion in his crusade to the Holy Land, where he fell, while fighting at the siege of Acre.

Alexander Supertramp, a nickname used by Chris McCandless, stunned the whole nation with his unique experience. Some people said that he was a hero and he escaped from tarnished and sinful world to a wonderland in Alaska where he could live in harmony with nature. On the other side, some people judged that he was a tactless idiot who paid a price for his recklessness.
“Ordinary human beings are born with an extraordinary ability to fight evil with decency” (Rusesabagina 109). Paul Rusesabagina is the definition of this quote , he was an ordinary man, with an extraordinary tongue. Paul’s tongue was his most significant asset throughout his career, the genocide, and his life. Paul did not need a machete or a knife during the genocide, his tongue was his weapon. He used the power of his tongue to defend the refugees, the Hotel Mille Collines, his family, and himself from the evilness of the genocide.
Anthony Elonis should not be protected under the first amendment. He has the right to express himself, but he did not have the right to express himself as he did online. Writer Amy Howe stated regarding Anthony’s rights under the first amendment that Elonis’ “right[s] [are] not unlimited; the classical example is that you can’t shout “Fire!” in a crowded theatre when there is actually no fire, because the resulting chaos could lead to injuries or even death” (Howe 1). Meaning that one can express themselves, however, it should not be an expression that could potentially cause harm or even death. One may say that in this situation that example does not apply to Elonis as he was not in any theater or crowded area. In contrast, Elonis was in a
Sometimes words cannot exactly explain what we want to convey, so we need a visual to support it. A similar thing was observed in the article of Alan M. Dershowitz, he cleverly makes use of Ben Shah’s painting in the article to grab the attention of folks. The author writes about a murder case of a paymaster and a guard of the South Braintree by Sacco and Vanzetti, both were Italian immigrant anarchists. Surprisingly, the truth was not revealed that whether Sacco and Vanzetti were the killers and this case is still unsolved. I agree with the author that the trials could not get to the fair results. I believe that the painting is an ironic symbol of the justice. It silently expresses a lot what the text can’t. I think the painting adds words

When most people think of their childhood they remember fond memories of traditions they had with friends and family, such as Christmas Eve or something as simple as a family game night. Many of these traditions are carried down through generations and have a significant role in communities and teaching youth important values. These traditions shape our culture and allow us to generalize a country or area by simply listing off common traditions. However, it seems as though the values these traditions teach, both religious and social, seem to be evolving to fit an ever changing and more connected modern world. The question that remains, however, is if these values are evolving fast enough for a more forward thinking generation. Many would say
In the center of the painting is Plato on the left and Aristotle on the right. These two are showing the two parts within philosophy, Timaeus and Ethics.
