“I have been to over 100 schools,” began Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton, who is focusing on what she refers to as the 4 E’s: Entrepreneurship, Education, Emergency preparedness, and being an Example.
Hampton spoke to the students at Metcalfe County High School on Monday, October 9th, expressing the importance of a high school education stating, “It is a starting point.” She used her own life story as an example telling students how she watched her mother struggle without a high school education.
As a child, Hampton lived in Detroit’s inner city and at age seven her parents divorced leaving her mother to raise her and her three siblings. Hampton stated that at times her family had no car, washing machine, or even a TV, but instead of being despondent,

When asked how she became interested in politics, Hampton answered, “That is a God story,” explaining that she lost her job in 2012 and prayed for guidance on what to do next. After losing a run for state house in Bowling Green, she was contacted by, now Governor, Matt Bevins, who asked her to be his running mate. Hampton is now the 57th Lt. Governor of Kentucky, the first African-American in history to hold statewide office, and the 4th woman to hold the Lt. Governor’s position.
Hampton went on to tell the students what her job entails and to everyone’s surprise she stated that Kentucky’s largest export industry is Aerospace and Aviation. She also highlighted some great educational opportunities within the state of Kentucky such as Morehead University’s Space Science Program, which teaches students to design, build, tests, and launch cube satellites. One of only five programs of its type in the nation. The University of Kentucky is at the forefront of Exomedicine, a study of the effects of medicine on the human body in low gravity.

Jennette is a seven months old female. Three to four weeks ago (unknown) a cat bite Jennette in her face (on the lower part of her cheekbone). Jennette was at a birthday party. It is unknown how the cat bites Jennette in the face. Jennette's mom Kristi did take Jennette to the doctor in Brookhaven or Summit. Kristi took Jennette at 7:45 pm and Kristi did not notify the father (unknown) until 8:00 pm. Jennette also has a bad diaper rash. The diaper rash has Jennette bottom (butt) raw. The diapers rash begin on her butt cheek all the up to her vagina. While bathing Jennette, she will not sit in the tub on her bottom; due to her but being raw. Jennette just cried. Charmayne James was a shy girl that grew up in small town of Clayton, New Mexico. Beginning her way to being the Million Dollar Cowgirl she is today at the age of 3 riding from sun up to sun down. She started rodeo at a young age on a horse named Bardo. When Charmayne needed her next horse she looked to a young bay gelding that was used in her fathers feed lot. Heather Whitestone was the first, Deaf Miss America, and the first Deaf Miss Alabama. Heather was born February 24, 1973 in Dothan, Alabama. She lost most hearing from a reaction to a diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus shot when she was eighteen months old; she has five percent hearing in her left ear. While in elementary school, Heather learned about Helen Keller, who became her role model. She attended the Central Institute for the Deaf in Missouri after falling behind in her classes, but returned to her hometown to graduate. She also attended a fine arts school to study ballet. Because of the emphasis of speech her mother placed on her, she did not learn American Sign Language until her senior year in high school.

In the life of the day of Tila Henderson is unplanned and sometimes even unorganized. “I have to get up and check my school schedule and my athletic training schedule. Anything new can come up and throw you off course. ” said Tila Henderson.
