“War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today” (John F. Kennedy). The United States should destroy ISIS by bombing them in an auspicious manner, so that the people will no longer feel threatened. ISIS is a terrorist group that emerged in the Middle East. ISIS stands for “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.” It originated in the year of 1999. The United States need to eradicate ISIS and all of their affiliations in order to get rid of them. The government is necessary to have in a society because people will not be able to get rid of them nor will they have the rights to do so. But, the government can be supplied with an unlimited source of power to rule so that the people in that society can obey the government’s rules and requirements. People will not feel tempted to overcome and change the government because the government will be running their society the right way and making people believe that their society is fine. A man named John Locke believes in something different. John Locke believes that a society should have a self-government. He believes this because he knows it is very important for people in a society to protect their natural rights. John Locke also believes that in a state of nature, everyone should be capable of goodness. John Locke knows that it is right to carry a divine right in a society so that the people will not want to overcome the government. But, in a state of nature, people can change the government and the government will only be supplied with a certain amount of power to …show more content…
The United States must have more men and women guarding borders so that no ISIS members come into the United States. Doing so will result in ISIS staying in the Middle East. The United States must bomb them in their homeland before move men and kids in the Middle East are converted into their group, and begin spreading even more hate. Bombing ISIS in an auspicious matter will lessen the threat of ISIS, and doing so will help better our country and economy. Bombing ISIS will also show the enemy of what the United States is capable of. It will show them not to spread hate and to not kill innocent people without expecting any type of consequence. This can tie into John Locke’s beliefs. On how showing someone not to do what is wrong and having a severe punishment so accepting, that it will teach them not to ever do it again. In conclusion, this is why the United States should bomb and eradicate ISIS. When new enemies are brought to the attention of America, it should be taken care of and resolved entirely immediately before that enemy begins to feel superior and do whatever they wish to do. Doing this will show the people of America that the government is more than capable of getting rid of a threat. The government will just have to learn how to do so in a successful manner so less threats will be brought to America’s
The two stories, “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, and “Lobo: the King of Currumpaw” by Ernest Thompson Seton, both have two characters with major similarities and differences. Lobo, was a fierce and skilled wolf who worked his way around traps and obstacles that tried to capture him. On the other hand, General Zaroff was a vicious antagonist. Zaroff is in a life threatening game with another serious hunter, Rainsford. The two characters (Zaroff & Lobo) show a resemblance to each other and share differences.
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as Isis, terror group has been an important issue in the United States for the past couple of years. After the recall of troops from Iraq, radical Islamist movements started to begin and Isis was formed. The first issue of Isis is they have grown in numbers over the years. Secondly, Isis controls thousands of square miles of ungoverned territory. Their high supply of troops and land allows them to creatively think of major attacks, including attacks on the U.S. Lastly, when people see the attacks from Isis, some people naturally gravitate towards these groups. Two months after 9/11 attacks Osama Bin Laden said “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse.” Isis will continue to grow in power if countries do not come together to help totally eliminate them.
Force is the only thing that ISIS respects. I believe that the action that the United States government is taking is a good start, but if the efforts fail, I truly think they must step up and take whatever measures necessary in putting an end to this travesty. They are endangering the lives of so many people that it would be crazy for the United States and other leading world powers to not take aggressive action in defending them. ISIS attacks many innocent people through violence, terror, and social media tactics. We must do whatever it takes to take them down, before they become even stronger and pose a larger threat to the United States and the
Isis has 30,000 fighters( “Isis trail of terror”). February 2015, Isis had 20,00 more foreign fighters who had come to help( “Isis trail of terror”). Not including 150 from the United State. Isis is spreading into Syria, Iraq, and towards Baghdad tormenting the sick, and killing people till they decide to join their side ( “Isis trail of terror”).Obama said, “ Let's be clear about Isis, they have rampaged across cities beheading people in cowardly acts of violence.”( “Isis trail of terror”). Isis is growing bigger and bigger each second, and only we can stop it.
The United States, with its coalition partners, has committed to degrade and destroy the terrorist group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). This group poses a threat to the people of the Middle East, as well as to the United States, our allies, and interests in the region. If this terrorist organization is left uninterrupted, ISIL will grow, threatening the surrounding areas of the Middle East, our allies abroad, and the United States.
It is important that the US government does anything and everything to keep the people it governs over safe. With ISIS’s terrorist acts now spreading across Europe and with ISIS-inspired attacks here in America, the threat is growing each and every day.
ISIS has been a rapidly increasing threat to not just the United States of America, but the entire world. ISIS has done countless brutal, sick, heart wrenching things that have caused a national and international uproar in the citizens of numerous countries. ISIS considers them the Islamic State, and they seem to have many motives. They basically want a large portion of the Middle east under ISIS control and for the rest of the world to accept their disgusting “traditions” as they claim they are doing, This threat has done some very unspeakable things; the problem needs to be solved. Considering the view the United State holds right now, there are a few actions that can be taken to reduce this threat that ISIS presents. ISIS has rapidly become an enormous problem for most of, if not all of the world. There are some very simple and some very complicated ways to solves this problem. The most efficient way is to simple go to war with ISIS and physically, mentally and emotionally destroy everything and everyone that is supporting this cause, another way is to give them what they desire to have, finally the last option is just completely ignore the foreign issue until it presents itself on U.S. soil. After an online video emerged on Tuesday, January 21st, 2015, showing ISIS threatening to kill two Japanese hostages, relatively little was known about the relationship between the two prisoners. But Reuters News revealed later that next day
A CNN poll was done and stated that 64% say the U.S. should send ground troops to Iraq or Syria to fight Isis. Also 18% say that the U.S need to do more with the fight against Isis.Isis isn’t going to be stopped by doing nothing,we need to send ground troops and defeat them before they can do more attacks. Some may argue that airstrike are working fine to eliminate targets but if this is true why are attacks still happening.Isis is still growing even though we're doing airstrike against them if other country are backing out of the airstrike too they be able to become even stronger. We need to send troops to be able to control them and then eliminate
The controversy over whether the United States should take stronger military action against ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) has been discussed the past few months. The public opinion has grown more favorable to taking stronger action; however, there is a minority of people that still believe the Unites States should stay out of war as long it can. If the United States avoids war, then ISIS will become a bigger threat to the country than it already is. The Unites States should take stronger military force against ISIS. ISIS has proven to be a very powerful threat to our country and other countries around the world; if they are not stopped, ISIS will continue to aim danger at our country and our people.
Think about it, you’re walking down the street or just sitting at your favorite place to eat. Then the next thing you know half the street is blown up and you’re either dead, injured, or the person next to is. This is what the people of Paris felt like the day ISIS sent suicide bombers to blow up the city. ISIS first started as a group that broke off from al-Qaeda. In 2014, ISIS controlled more than 34,000 square miles in Syria and Iraq, from the Mediterranean coast to south of Baghdad. ISIS believes they are part of a prophecy written 14 hundred years ago and that they are a key part of an apocalypse that is to come. Their goal is to create an Islamic state called the Caliphate across Iraq, Syria and other places across the Middle East. ISIS has became a global threat and we Americans need to do our part. Now let's talk about what they
Isis is a big problem in society that needs to be eliminated The U.S. Isis is a dangerous anti American society who is causing trouble in Syria, Iraq, and even her in the u.s. Isis has done plenty of mass murders and shootings that have caused lives. The main problem with them is that they are infiltrating the U.S which is a major threat to society considering they are only here to cause damage.
Terrorism is a massive problem--everybody realizes that. Regardless of origin, culture, country, or political standpoint, every sane person understands that terrorism is something that is still relatively prevalent in the world, and something needs to be done about it. The problem, however, is that there is no easy solution. The United States tends to take overbearing control and responsibility for all terrorist threats, groups, and attacks, but this is simply not reasonable. Although we cannot expect every country to take initiative against terrorist threats like ISIS, sustained international coordination is necessary to effectively confront transnational terrorist groups (Shirkey). This way, the US can begin taking care of themselves and their own country, as they still have many issues that have yet to be solved. While working together is important, though, it is not the key to solving the problem. What we must do in addition is investigate and address the root causes of terrorism, and analyse them in detail in order to best combat terrorist groups at their roots.
In order to formulate a policy against ISIS, there must to be an understanding regarding how ISIS came to be and what its motives are. ISIS is a terrorist organization that began as al-Qaeda in Iraq. In time, ISIS split from al-Qaeda for ideological differences, mainly because ISIS wanted to control large areas of land in order to establish a caliphate. In the past year ISIS became increasingly violent, and started being stricter with the regions they hold under their control, such as beheading people, and burning them alive. Now ISIS controls an area roughly the size of the United Kingdom in Iraq and Syria. ISIS’ main objective is to establish a caliphate where they can follow Islam to its strictest interpretation.
The United States first tool to achieve these goals is diplomatic. First, the United States needs to retract the policy that the United States does not negotiate with Terrorists. Negotiation creates a negative connotation of concession or handing power over to the enemy. Negotiation, however, can be mere discussion with the enemy to find a way to end violence. Diplomatic tools consist of treaties, conventions, alliances, and accords. Holding conventions and creating accords will be the most successful approaches. Treaties require Senate and Presidential approval which can be a lengthy process and is tied up in domestic politics. The United States already has certain alliances and it is necessary to cultivate them, but in the context of ISIS and Syria, alliances are already set with the Free Syrian Army. Conventions to bring together many nations in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States, to formulate agreements and accords with the states that are involved in Syria and fighting ISIS. ISIS, should not be a signatory since they are not a recognized state, but should be able to attend to make decisions with an understanding of ISIS’ wants because by understanding their objectives and interests we are better able to make policy to decrease violence of ISIS.
