My most vivid memory of intermediate school, was walking on the red carpet on the first day of fifth grade. At the time, I felt so grown up and mature. Come to realize, I was only ten years old. On the first day, I was so nervous to meet all of the new people that were coming from other elementary schools. Looking back, I shouldn't have been so nervous because I’m sure all of the other kids felt the same way. During those years, I met countless friends including Jayden, Makayla, Ali, Ally, Emily and so many others that I would still consider my friends. Intermediate school has by far been the absolute best school experience that I had. Ali’s dad was, and still is the gym teacher at Lincoln. She, and many of my friends were in the
If Middle Football is Going to Last People Need to Get Their Head in the Game.
Bullying in Middle School in Revere, Massachusetts. Bullying on school ground is a big problem here in Revere. Middle school students have been reporting to parents and teachers that their are bullies who are their main concerns. They would be physcially and verbally attacking them any way possible. To avoid any causes that may affect bullying victims, we should solve the issue by having a plan laid out for bullies kids. If the problems are not going to be fixed students can be at risk. Their lives can be in danger. How can we address and fixed this situation to save kids who are getting bully in school. What can we do to protect students from bullies.
Again, I was that silent kid. I took speech classes because I couldn’t pronounce my R's. Mrs. Christensen was my teacher. She was the best because she was funny, kind, and helpful. She helped me get into C.M.L and G.A.T.E.S again. She also helped me enjoy math and science enormously. C.M.L was really fun. In C.M.L, we celebrated Pi day by eating pies, and on the last day of C.M.L, I ate pizza and cupcakes. I remember that my best friend, Katelyn, and I would always swing on the swings every single day. I said, “I’m bored.” Katelyn replied, “Well, you can play with me.” That was how Katelyn and I met. She understands me better than any other person. My favorite field trips were going to Crystal Cave, the Bakken Museum, and on a boat with our kindergarten buddies, which were super fun. I hoped 5th grade could top 4th
Middle school is full of good and bad memories. After being here for four years you develop all sorts of memories that you may not even want to remember. There is one memory from my eighth grade year that I will never forget. Being a water girl for the middle school football team was one of the most exciting extra curricular activities I did.
I believe that it would be a wonderful idea to shorten down our classes from eight to seven. Right now at St.Labre our day is eight periods long. Yes, another class would give us additional knowledge, and ordinarily a greater chance to learn something, but seven periods would give us less homework to do. It can give us longer lunch period to help run off some built up energy. And it would give us a longer study hall period to finish our work before we reach home.
Being one of the 12 kids that are LDS in my over 3,000 student school has been an interesting aspect of my life. For the past four years, questions like “ Does your Dad have multiple wives?” or “ Woah, you aren’t a cult?” have been surprisingly pretty easy for me to explain and answer. The nervousness and feeling of being scared about what someone might say or think has never been a problem throughout my four years of high school. Although I am able to successfully talk about my religion, the struggle to do so was very evident during my middle school years.
Right now… our school, is a prison. And you, the students, are the prisoners. I’m Prempreet Brar, leader of the Window of Light. Vote for me, and I’ll make sure that I open up your window of opportunity. We will focus on finding a solution for the four main issues that make up our party platform. To improve the safety of our school and community, we will install surveillance cameras to reduce crime and mischief. This investment will save us a lot of money in the long run, as it prevents students from making bad actions. We will encourage safe transportation of our students both to and from school. We will do this by increasing the amount of advertisements around the school that inform students to go to school with a trusted acquaintance.
I was very involved at my high school, so I was constantly busy and rushing to the next activity. I’m not sure how I did it, but I balanced the tennis team, volunteering at school and community events, attending meetings for various clubs, and my actual schoolwork. A lot of my time was also spent at my work: the Big Thrill Factory. The laser tag, bumper cars, and arcade games made it a fun job, if you could get past the loud music and screaming kids. My paycheck didn’t go much further than getting me gas, but I made tons of friends, and gained experience and communication skills from working the front desk. Whenever I had free time, I loved spending it with friends, going for walks, and enjoying the outdoors.
My elementary years can be described in one word, melodramatic. I went to a small private school names Victory in the Perryton Texas. My class had a around 15 kids in it and it only got smaller with each year. In preschool and kindergarten, my mom decided to “homeschool” me. In other words i didn't really learn anything, i just had more time to be a kid. I loved and when it came time to starting first grade i was actually very excited to be in school. Unfortunately i was quite a bit behind. I didn't know how to read, spell anything, and i was so much slower than the rest of my class when it came to completing my assignments. The whole i was one of the last kids in the class to complete all of the assignments. Then one day my principal, who was good friends
Late into my seventh grade year of school my parents told me that they were going to give me a choice to either continue going to my local high school or go to a private, college preparatory high school in my area. Because I come from the St. Louis Missouri area there is a plethora of private schools to choose from, each with their own unique atmosphere and level of academic challenge. I knew that with a college prep high school I would presumably be getting a better education than what was offered in the public school, but I also knew that none of my friends from grade school would be going with me and I would be going into a completely new environment with no backup plans or friends to rely on. The hardest part for me was that I felt like
In August of 2017, the Utah State Board of Education released a policy that dissolved the requirement for physical education, art, and health classes in middle schools all over the state, which means that children in junior high school could still choose those subjects if they so desire, but they don’t need to. With the requirement of those programs gone, teachers that instruct children on these subjects might end up without a job, depending on how much the students and parents want that class. And for small schools, it takes a long time to replace a teacher, because not many teachers exist within the boundaries of small towns. The board of education voted in favor of the new policy 9-6, Marjorie Cortez says. This policy affects all of
In the beginning of the school year, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life or the purpose of school and education other than having to come to school and get good grades. I just began doing things like take AP classes to challenge myself and see where it would lead me to later on. As a student, my goal was to perform well and meet high expectations that people had of me. As an individual I only had one goal which was to make my family proud of me. Although that hasn’t changed, over the last 10 months of Junior year, I felt as if I had more purpose to fulfill, like appreciating and caring for my surroundings more. Therefore I started putting more effort into everything I did and I started becoming more interactive, compassionate, and
If you have been asked to share a lesson with elementary school students. The lesson I would teach the elementary students is not to do drugs because drugs take over people's world around them. They also make people push away family and friends. People who do drugs tend to most likely be put in jail or worse.
The past thirteen years of my school life has definitely been interesting. Within my education life, I have moved five different times and been to five different schools. Those schools were Flathead Christian School, Riverview Elementary, Doris Dickson Elementary, Ulm School, and finally Cascade High School.
The teachers taught me well, while my peers taught me more about life. I made my best friends in middle school and we are a family now. I cherished the time I spent in middle school. I was a top student who was doing well, had many friends, and was making a name for myself in sports and extracurricular activities. Then once again graduation rolled around and I had to leave all of the good things behind. But I was ready to embark on an education that was more geared towards my future.
