I was born into the arts. I cannot remember a time when music, poetry, creative writing, painting and visual arts weren't a part of my life. My mother was performing in a show when she was six months pregnant with me. The effect of music can be quite profound, with scientists proving that music can evoke emotions, and bring back memories.
Music has helped me relate to people of other ethnicities, which has given me many opportunities that I wouldn't have had if not for music. The major genres that have affected my life in some way are rap, rock, country, and musical theatre. These genres still affect the lives of thousands of people regardless of their race, background or attitude. Music has had an effect on my life through allowing me to express anger vicariously instead of on other people and allowing me to express sad emotions through the stories of others.

I was in keyboarding club, learning the basics of the piano. Outside of school I own a old, cheap guitar which I hope to fix and invest my time in and I have a grand piano. My newest addition to my musical instrument collection, is a program called FL Studio 12. This is a Digital Audio Workstation which is an electronic device used for recording, editing and producing audio files. This program can be used as a scratchpad for my ideas or to produce songs.
All sorts of artists have inspired me. Artists from all genres, and some not involved in music, like Jackson Pollock, Vincent Van Gogh, and Mark Rothko. Musical artists from the 60’s and 70’s like Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead), John Lennon (Beatles), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Jimi Hendrix, Jim Croce, and Bob Dylan. As well as musical artists from the 80’s and 90’s like Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Bruce Springsteen, and David Bowie. Modern hip hop artists inspire me as
Music plays a big role in my life. I listen to it everyday. Music helps me process what emotions I am feeling that day. Emotions such as anger, happiness, depression and anxiety. For example in 2011 my commanding officer for young marines died. Then three month later my grandfather passed away. Everything felt hopeless, I was depressed and
Music is a key factor in my life, now and has been for as long as I remember. Music is one thing that can control my mood and emotions unlike any other. The sounds and melodies of the composition have the potential to sway my moods from a dark gloomy state all the way to a joyous and soothing harmonic atmosphere. Music allows me to control how and what I want to be, or represent. Music is almost like picking out a favorite outfit. When one picks out an outfit to wear they most likely pick an outfit that expresses them and how they are feeling at that direct moment. They have the ability to change shoes, accessories, or their hairstyle to make it
First person that I'm inspired by is Twentyonepilots. The reason why they inspired me is because their music helps me feel better when I'm upset. Their music is also spiritual, and outspoken. When I do listen to them it makes me feel like I could do anything. That's why I'm inspired by Twentyonepilots.
Music has been around forever, the oldest surviving recorded work of music dates back to 1400 BC. A lot of music artists have inspired me in many different ways. One artist that sticks out the most and has inspired me in my everyday life is the alternative pop singer songwriter, Halsey.
Music has had a huge impact in my life and how I handle myself in certain situation. For example, after a terrible end to a three year relationship, I felt lost confused on what love was and how I felt about everyone who I met through out the relationship. After a couple of months, I went out with a friend and fell in love with beautiful women, but the women moving to the rhythm and I thought to myself it wasn’t the women I fell in love with Music was my first actual love. Thus, Music assisted me on regaining myself confidence, and what video explains more on the medical level.
Some people find those paths very easily, while others spend their whole life trying to find their path and do not realize that they are on what they are looking for. The quote “Music will help dissolve your perplexities and purify your character and sensibilities, and in time of care and sorrow, will keep a fountain of joy alive in you.” said by Dietrich Bonhoeffer explains how music can have the greatest impact on everyone around. Music has affected my life in the most positive way you can think.
Music is something that has been with humans since the dawn of our existence. It can affect things from our mood to our thoughts. It can also be used to chronicle our lives, giving it importance in our life. One instance where music impacted my life the most was in the seventh grade. I was going through multiple rough break-ups with the same girl, and the song that helped me through it was “Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley.
Many people don’t know that the Beatles couldn’t read or write music. Music started in a very old time period. Music has helped people in their lives and will be remembered forever.
Music plays an important rule in every culture, and in every individual's life. Music has molded our lives since the beginning of time. Music plays at an important role of birth and in the middle of every person's life, and at the ending of life. Music has affected me ever since I was born and it still does to this day.
Music has been around since the beginning of time. We listen to music while driving, eating, doing homework, and the list goes on. In addition to listening to music, many individuals make their own music. We cannot deny the fact that music makes up a substantial portion of our everyday life. As a result, music like anything else that is embedded into our society has effects far from the obvious.
Why is music so impactful? Is there even a reason for it? Being a millennial, 18 year old male, I feel that music has influence in my life, maybe more than others. But, is the world impacted as much as a single person? The answer might not lie in the number of listens or views on Youtube, it might be in human issues.
Music has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, some of my earliest memories were wandering around record stores with my dad. My dad has always been an avid music and record collector. When I was about five years old he closed down his pizzeria and started his own online and mail order business selling hard to find and obscure records and CDs. A few years later he expanded his business by opening up a record store in Downers Grove, IL. As a result, from an early age I was exposed to a lot of different types of music. Sure it was common for parents to put on The Beatles for their kids to listen to, but on top of that I was grew up on a steady diet of Queen, David Bowie, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Jimi Hendrix,
One of my earliest memories from my childhood involves music. I was only five or six and me and my brother would be coming home from pre-school and daycare. My mom would ask us what we wanted to listen to and we would both yell back “Our CD!” My mother would laugh and proceed to play a Beethoven CD she kept in the center console of the car. This memory has stuck with me since I was a kid. It has played a major role in my development and was the beginning of my growing passion for music.
People say that music has the ability to heal a person mentally and spiritually. But to me, music is much more than just healing. It is a way for me to escape this world called reality and enter a world with in my imagination through the different beats, harmony, and chorus. Only when listening to music, I can truly feel all my emotions with each song having the power to make me remember, from painful to happy memories. As I grew up to be the person I am today, my music journey also grows with me. Looking back at it now, I would never want to change a single thing.
Music, it's a part of everyone's life. From childhood sing-a-long songs, to garage grunge music, and everything in between music is everywhere. Growing up with an extremely musical background it was in my genes that I would become a musician. Playing music has helped me become the person I am by being a release for my anger, broadening my future and make new friends..
