Many people don’t know that the Beatles couldn’t read or write music. Music started in a very old time period. Music has helped people in their lives and will be remembered forever.
Music was based on paintings and literature. It also has influenced an influence on people’s lives.

The 1940’s was recognized as the era of the common household names such as Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Perry Como. Jazz was the strongest music genre in the 40’s era with Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong taking the lead. This decade is what we like to call an oldie but a goodie. Music in the 1940s was mainly built around the jazz and big band styles that were popular during the day. It was during this decade that artists like Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra began to bloom into true musicians. Our first decade is: the 40’s!
There have been many people, known as artists, who have tried to change the world through their art. “Art” can be paintings, music, dances, sculptures, literature, or photography. There are many ways to communicate and express ones feelings but The Beatles did it through their popular music. Although they didn’t focus on changing the world of politics or try to protest through their music they have songs that focus on those exact two things.
Over time, change has been something that has always occurred in our society. Music is one of the things that has changed drastically over the decades. From its instruments, the use of technology, the purpose and the reason of the music. One of the things that makes music so different is the instruments and technology. In the 1920’s, jazz was popular.
Music has probably been around since the beginning of times. Before instruments, sounds were considered music. People started to make instruments, which mimic nature’s sounds.
Music is an important part of this world and has been around since the beginning of time from simple rhythms to more complex tools. Music not only brings pleasure but it has also brought an understanding to people about the time periods through the lyrics and music videos created. But what about the years before music videos and before lyrics fully occupied songs. During the 1920s lyrics were at the starting line and would originally only be located in a small area of the song or would just repeat the same thing over and over again without any true interpretable meaning. To top off that there were no music videos created during this time, which overall limited the ways music of the 1920s could be interpreted unlike music from the 2000s that
Music is the root of everything and plays in the hearts of everyone. Music can display an important message in the words that are said. What seems to have been a pretty big theme across all genres is patriotism. When people think of patriotic music, they may think “Yankee Doodle” or “Star Spangled Banner” but patriotic music doesn’t necessarily mean it has to mention anything about a country; it could simply describe the love and beauty of a region or to defend beliefs that we as people may have. During the years between 1967 and 1995, probably some of the best music was produced. A few classic groups and individual artist such as, Lynryd Skynryd, Louis Armstrong and Lee Greenwood produced memorable
In the words of Todd Gitlin, “The critics’ consensus is that when the likes of Bobby Vinton and Fabian rose to the top of the charts, the real music went into cryogenic death for several years until The Beatles kissed it back to life in 1963,” (44). The Beatles had a massive impact on the music industry that lives on today (MacDonald 1). Even now, their first album, Introducing the Beatles, is one of the most forged albums of all time (Millard 7).

Music. When I started in the band in 8th grade at Saints Francis and Clare, I didn’t really want to be there. It was just another class, in another day, of my last year of school. This began to change after I realized all of the amazing people I met in the band. Band led me to be happier and become friends with people who I never even knew I would meet. It has even lead me to a path that I would like to go into in the future. I love music and band so much that it has made me want to teach it or join a band as I go into college and just for the rest of my life. Through music I have even had the opportunity to meet some very amazing people, and I have been able to work next to some of those people.
Is music really beneficial to society? Do its pros outweigh its cons? The famous Greek philosopher, Protagoras, once said, “There are two sides to every question, one opposed to the other.” This quote implies that although there can be many perspectives of a situation; no person’s belief is incorrect. It simply opposes other’s beliefs. Similarly, even though music is said to have many positive effects, like being therapeutic, it also negatively influences many social, political, and economic issues in the United States today, such as: poverty, unemployment, gun control, police brutality, bullying, and fear of acceptance.
