Performance Notes
Asses Tod - Play this piece with an appropriate dark ensemble tone color, and a wide dynamic range is required from the performers. Three Renaissance Dances - Each dance is in a different style. No. 1 should be played with a sense of motion and a gentle feel. No. 2 encompasses two contrasting styles, transitioning from a smooth, connected common time to a dancelike triple meter. No. 3 employs bold brass colors. The beginning is in the style of a fanfare, with crisp articulation. The middle section requires a lighter touch, before the ending reprises the original style.
Largo From The New World Symphony - This piece requires great control and subtlety from the ensemble. Accurate soft playing is a must.

Beginning solely by a haut instrument, Susato successfully conveyed a bright sonority to the first dance [Susato, Three dances. 0:00-0.06]. Added percussion instrument at the seventh second, the music was given its first touch to be vivid and plump. It was performed by outdoor woodwind bands including tabor, cornetto, sackbut, shawn, and tambourine. Though there are three dances contained in Susato’s work, and dances flowed from one another, it is not hard to distinguish because of their clearly full-stops between each part. Three dances, composed during Renaissance period(1551) by Susato, is a three rondes music in binary form(A-A-B-B). Its repeated melodies were played by permeant improvisers at that time to help enrich the music with colors
With means to express oneself, helps one overcome the difficulties of life. This approach represents the entire nature of the hip hop culture, especially when dealing with social justice issues. Today, the hip hop culture association revolves around raps (lyrics) and the rappers which reflect how consumers receive messages about social justice issues. Unlike breaking and graffiti, the music/lyrics penetrate society more. However, for this analysis, the focus will rely on a visual element with a connection to hip hop music. Even though a music video would make sense as a visual means of expression, this analysis has more interest in the cover art that goes with a hip hop album. Also, this focus will lead to the question of how important is art
After a few second, bass and two percussions joined them and then two woodwinds, three brass and violin began to play in a calm rhythm. In the middle of the composition, when the brasses and the woodwinds accompanied, the rhythm changed, it became faster and that part was so wonderful and energetic of this composition. The ensemble did an excellent job of keeping with the beat.
Violins on the left, woodwinds in the center, a brass section on the right next to the strings and percussion in the back all start out in a single conversation with the brass taking the opening lead of the piece. And fancy free it was as this work immediately started out as the fast tempo “galop” movement. The second movement had the traditional waltz with the third and final movement the “Danzon”. During the Danzon movement, I noticed the strings plucking and tapping their bows on their instruments. I had never heard this piece before and found it very consonant, with a nice level of fluidity and extremely pleasing to listen to.
This Music Video was made with the theme of the famous British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in the early morning hours of 15 April 1912, after it collided with an iceberg during its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. The Movie was first initially released in 1997, won 11 Oscars and ranked the fifth position amongst the list of the highest-grossing films in Canada and the United States. Believing that it was all enhanced by that MTV was announced, where technology was taking over which had strong fondness in that course of time and a negative one as time elapsed. It had a positive affection in a way it accomplished to make it easier and now that MTV can use the WIFI after it was invented to stream it's movies and made it faster in other several ways, but as we can see, with time it started affecting all kids before they even grew up or became adults by being overwhelmed with Technology.

On September 8th, 2016 at 7:30 PM, a concert was held at Chabot College, Buffington Theater. A concert was performed by many different musicians such as William Sauerland with voice; Rick Flores with guitar , I really enjoy this performance because the guitar is one of my favorite instruments. The next one is Percussion which performed by Timothy Harris, Joe Bonfiglio with clarinet and Casey Hurt with piano and voice; Beverly Johnston with flute, Eric Schultz with vibes and electronics Deb Shider with oboe. There were 4 to 5 pieces performed by many musicians that I had listed on top. In each performance, each one of them contained its own unique techniques , contents, tempo and rhythms, sound and voice.
Recognized as one of the premiere American saxophone ensembles, the Amethyst Quartet’s celebrated performances are known for their rich, vibrant sound and outstanding melodic clarity. This award-winning group is noted for their exhilarating renditions of classical works from composers such as Bach and Handel. Join these four talented artists for a memorable evening of world-class music.
I found this piece very interesting; it tells a clear story, and has a dissonant accompanist which makes it sound stylistically similar to the music of musical theatre.
13. During this piece I could imagine people dancing at an elaborate gathering in their large ball gowns, and all of the finest. This piece began slowly, yet cheerful then the tempo began to speed up. There was in intermezzo performed by Amy Schroeder which was moderately fast with movement. By the end of the piece there was a rapid tempo. This piece was beautiful, and at times seemed as though the music was jumping, again almost playful. The faces of the quartet was astonishing in itself. At times the musicians appeared in pain, and at others seemed to be in heaven. There were times during the concert where the musicians appeared as though they were about to jump from their seats. You could definitely see their passion, and it was exquisite. The dynamics of this piece were so that at one point I jumped. I was in shock and a little embarrassed that the music actually scared me.
Stage One Music expanded the knowledge and understanding of music theory to a further extent. As part of the subject, the opportunities and obstacles of the music industry was investigated, while each individual continued to experiment with discovering their own ‘music style’. Throughout the year, students progressed their abilities of their chosen instruments by performing a music arrangement as a soloist and as part of an ensemble. A highlight of the subject was participating in the Performing Arts Showcase since students were able to present the skills which they have worked on for the duration of the
Rhythm and Blues (R & B) has always been my priority choice of music to listen to. “R. Kelly is talented and he is also inarguable the biggest male R & B singer since Marvin Gaye”. (Marchese) He is a musical genius who wrote “Forever” a very powerful and unforgettable wedding song that will be played during many marriage ceremonies for years to come. Forever is a nuptial song that sounds great for a bride walking out to meet her husband at the altar. R Kelly Lyrics reminds me of what my husband said the day he asked me to marry him “I will be your man you will be my lady, we'll walk hand and hand side by side, I will be the perfect groom you're the perfect bride”. (R. Kelly: Forever) This song “Forever” symbolizes our married on New Years’

From the pattern of Bobby’s pants to the number of futons and chairs that litter the stage all the little details and decisions that go into making and performing a musical give it the opportunity to soar high above other mediocre performances heads and be amazing, or completely fail to portray the major themes or possibly to complicate the plot even more than it already is and make the whole production a disaster. That being said, a production of any musical or play would be nothing without the sets and costumes and the small details that make them wonderful. So it’s only fair to say the costumes and set are some of the most important and influential pieces of any production, especially in the case of a live performance of the musical
The atmosphere of the studio was incredible. The only words to describe the atmosphere was angelic, electric, and amazing. Every single knob from the master mixer sitting on the table to the smooth sound of the bass coming through the industrial speakers. It was any recording artist sanctuary and refuge. The lights that changed colors from blue to green and finally to red. I wasn't sure how a recording studio could feel like a club but be as calm and relaxed as a tennis match.
