At the end of each NFL season data is gathered to determine who the best overall players in the NFL are. The data gathering is done by a group named Pro Football Focus. The data is categorized by grading, statistics, and schematic context. The NFL is blossoming with new stars and still retains the presence of many present day "legends" of the game. In honor of the upcoming 2017 NFL season Pro Football Focus (PFF) has released a list of top players from 2016. I have chosen to present the top ten player from the 2016 NFL season.
10. Luke Kuechly (6’3”, 238 lbs.) Linebacker, Carolina Panthers
The five year veteran from Boston College earned a 93.1 grade from PFF despite missing six games. Kuechly is considered the most complete linebacker

His grade from PFF is a 91.7 and he improves this number with each season played. Miller almost single handedly won Super Bowl L for the Broncos by recording 2.5 sacks, forcing two fumbles, and winning
Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player Award. Over his career Miller has recorded 73.5 quarterback sacks and was third fastest to 50 sacks. Barring injury Miller will be in the Hall of Fame and may one day be the all time leader in sacks.
6. Khalil Mack (6’3”, 250lbs.) Linebacker, Oakland Raiders
Not only is Khalil Mack the reigning Defensive Player of The Year he is the best outside linebacker according to PFF. His 95.1 PFF grade and unique skill set in the Raiders defense sets him apart as an elite player in the NFL. In only three seasons Mack has 30 sacks and will only improve as he enters his prime. At only 26 years old this freak of nature will be a star in the NFL for years to come.
5. Aaron Rodgers (6’2”, 225lbs.) Quarterback, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers is considered the most talented quarterback currently competing in the NFL. He has a 92.1 PFF rating and mind blowing stats to back it up. Last season Rodgers threw for 40 touchdowns while only throwing 7 interceptions. He posted a 104.2 quarterback rating and led the Packers to the NFC Championship Game. At 33 years old Rodgers is primed for another great season in green and gold.
4. Julio Jones (6’3”, 220lbs.) Wide Receiver, Atlanta Falcons
Julio Jones has the best grade of
In his senior season, Rivers finished with 58 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks. Perhaps his greatest strength is his versatility in rushing the passer. Rivers fills the prototypical Patriots' hybrid pass rusher that players like Rob Ninkovich and Trey Flowers have dominated in. Rivers will compete with Geneo Grissom, Lawrence Guy and fellow draft pick Deatrich Wise for playing time in a backup role.
In his freshman year he broke the record for a Division I-A freshman rushing record with 1,925 yards. In 2004 he placed second in the Heisman Trophy race, at the time that was the highest finish for a freshman. Later that year he won consensus All-American.
Consequently, the facts hold true. There is no doubt that J.J. Watt is the best all around player in the NFL. He cannot be stopped by any team in the league, and even in his brief career, he has accomplished things that no player has ever achieved. His physical attributes, effect on his team, and personal achievements clearly rank him as the number one football player in the
Joe Montana had a record of twenty-one wins, and twenty-seven losses. Terry Bradshaw had a record of twenty-two wins twenty-six losses. Johnny Unitas had a record of twenty-one wins, and fifteen losses. Johnny Unitas played when a regular season consisted of twelve games. Do not let that fool you because if you were to take the percentage of all those records you will clearly see Russell Wilson has the best record. Russell Wilson won a total of thirty-six out of forty-eight games. His percentage was he won seventy-five percent of his games. Joe Montana won forty-three percent of his games. Terry Bradshaw won a total of forty-five percent of his games. With Johnny Unitas only playing thirty-six games and only winning twenty-one of those games. He only won fifty-eight percent of his games. The final way to prove he is the greatest quarterback to me is his appearances to the super bowl.
Ohio State’s other Heisman winners are Troy smith, Howard Cassidy, Eddie George, Vic Janowicz, and Les Horvath. Ohio State currently has thirty nine players that are on a active NFL roster which ranks very high against other collegiate teams ( NFL Players By College). Not only do they produce many NFL players, but the quality of the players that come out of Ohio State and enter the NFL is what puts them leaps and bounds above other universities. In an article by Bill Barnwell from ESPN, he states that statistically speaking Ohio State’s 2016 is the best in NFL history . The 2016 draft class produced 5 first round draft picks, with some picks as early as the third, and with three in the top ten. Overall this draft class produced twelve players which was the most of any school. Amongst these players, were some of the most productive NFL rookies the league has seen in a very long time. Joey Bosa who is a defensive end for the now Los Angeles Chargers ( formerly the San Diego Chargers) was drafted with the third pick, and ended his season winning the award for the rookie defensive player of the year. Another major star last season was running back Ezekiel Elliott. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the fourth pick
At Michigan he spent the majority of his time at the tight end position. In his career he had 1715 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns pretty good considering the Michigan football program hasn’t won in recent
The last few seasons QBs have not been a huge worry as the earliest round that QBs are taken is round 4 or 5 with people like Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, and Ben Roethlisberger. I still believe Aaron Rodgers is the top fantasy QB because last year he had a 31:8 TD INT ratio. Even with Cam Newton having a break out year last year winning MVP on
It would be hard to skip over his accomplishments when introducing him here today. Throughout his 10-year career, Logan has been a 7x pro bowler, a first-team all pro as well as a 5x second-team all pro. It would be an accomplishment for any player to receive one of these awards and Logan has earned multiple through his hard work and dedication. Along with those personal awards, he has also been a 2x AFC champion with the New England Patriots, with multiple appearances to the AFC championship
The National Football League is a popular league, and with it comes some of the most interesting facts you’ll across today. In this article, you’re going to realize some very intriguing facts about the NFL. In fact, some of them are almost crazy!

The NFL players today are paid more money because of their experience, talents, and abilities to recreate the game. The actors who usually get compensated the most are the franchise players. The franchise players (best players on their team) are treated more valuable and the teams base their game strategies because of the talents of those players. While other musicians are part of a role in the game plan, the franchise players carry most the load to the game design. The NFL players today can easily be substituted by other upcoming college students. Unlike past generations, the rivalry is even more difficult to play against today because the players want to remain in the league or not be traded to other squads. The NFL remains to improve year after year because of the large competitors that join the league and the current players that do not want to be put back.
