At the end of each NFL season data is gathered to determine who the best overall players in the NFL are. The data gathering is done by a group named Pro Football Focus. The data is categorized by grading, statistics, and schematic context. The NFL is blossoming with new stars and still retains the presence of many present day "legends" of the game. In honor of the upcoming 2017 NFL season Pro Football Focus (PFF) has released a list of top players from 2016. I have chosen to present the top ten player from the 2016 NFL season.

10. Luke Kuechly (6’3”, 238 lbs.) Linebacker, Carolina Panthers

His grade from PFF is a 91.7 and he improves this number with each season played. Miller almost single handedly won Super Bowl L for the Broncos by recording 2.5 sacks, forcing two fumbles, and winning
Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player Award. Over his career Miller has recorded 73.5 quarterback sacks and was third fastest to 50 sacks. Barring injury Miller will be in the Hall of Fame and may one day be the all time leader in sacks.

6. Khalil Mack (6’3”, 250lbs.) Linebacker, Oakland Raiders
Not only is Khalil Mack the reigning Defensive Player of The Year he is the best outside linebacker according to PFF. His 95.1 PFF grade and unique skill set in the Raiders defense sets him apart as an elite player in the NFL. In only three seasons Mack has 30 sacks and will only improve as he enters his prime. At only 26 years old this freak of nature will be a star in the NFL for years to come.

5. Aaron Rodgers (6’2”, 225lbs.) Quarterback, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers is considered the most talented quarterback currently competing in the NFL. He has a 92.1 PFF rating and mind blowing stats to back it up. Last season Rodgers threw for 40 touchdowns while only throwing 7 interceptions. He posted a 104.2 quarterback rating and led the Packers to the NFC Championship Game. At 33 years old Rodgers is primed for another great season in green and gold.
