Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are the best two quarterbacks of their era. The media has created a demotic view of completion between the two players, but the quarterbacks are actually friendly. They do not they their friendship get in the way of their completion. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady , they are both great quarterbacks, even though they play for different teams they continue to be friendly, they even try to push each other to become better football players. Peyton Manning is a mentally strong quarter back, who preserved to get to the National Football League. When he played in high school he not only led the team to a record of 34-5, but he also was known for throwing more than 7,000 yards (“Peyton Manning.”). During his college years he broke even more records with his amazing accuracy setting an astonishing 42 conference, school and NCAA records. “In all, he passed for 11,201 yards, registered 863 completions and connected for 89 touchdowns” (“Peyton Manning.”). When he was in the NFL he made the rookie record for touchdowns, attempts, passing yards, and completions. This first few years in the NFL weren’t his best, but he made a comeback when he signed with the Colts. Winning his first MVP award in 2003 he became the first player in the NFL to receive it four more times(“Peyton Manning.”). Tom Brady is naturally good at sports. In high school he excelled in football and baseball, when he graduated Brady passed up the opportunity to play professional baseball due to his love for football. In Brady’s junior year of college he played as the starting quarterback, and during his senior year he helped his team into Orange Bowl victory ("Tom Brady."). Their teams have faced each other 17 times. In those 17 times Tom has won 11 times and Peyton has won 6, but there has been many close calls (Gelhar). Tom and Peyton didn’t win without a fight. In November 2003, Peyton was playing for the Colts; Manning fumbled in the first quarter, and was sacked by player Mike Vrabel so the Patriots had the ball. This gave Brady the opportunity to start with a 17-0 lead, Manning didn’t let that discourage him because he came back and made Brady fight for his win all the way till the end, Patriots 38- Colts 34 (Gelhar). Another amazing game was November 15, 2009, this game showed the players trying to outdo each other to the very end. Manning came out first, scoring a beautiful 7 points within a few minutes; but then at 2nd and 10 the Patriots are dominating the game with 24-7 "New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, November 15, 2009."). In one play Brady throws the ball almost 40 yards deep into the end zone when his player is being blocked by two of the Colts defense, and then the ball was intercepted. Manning does the same thing, he passes deep middle and the ball was intercepted by a defensive Patriot’s player ("New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, November 15, 2009."). These mistakes show that the players are trying to show their greatness, sometimes it just doesn’t work
