Human Activity and Climate Change

Intro to Enviromental Science Angellena Gibson
Climate change is a problem that is occuring rapidly around the world. Scientist have stated that human activity and burning fossil fuels does contribute to climate change. In my opinion I would have to agree with scientist are saying. If I didn't just take scientist evidence alone I would agree just by the evidence I can see with my own two eyes on a daily basis. Human activity such as deforestation and burning fossil fuels contributes to fossil fuels. Nasa has imperical data that is backed by substantial proof that in fact our planet is expierencing climate change. Studies show that human-produced greenhouse gassess are causing global warming to occur. Particular gassess that are released in the atmosphere are causing the heat to be unable to escape the way it naturally would. Since some gases have the tendency to linger in the atmosphere and not escape the climate has no choice but to expeirence change. Deforestation is part of human activity that is causing climate change. Nasa states that this is a known fact it contributes to climate change. Humans are clearing so much land and taking away trees and messing up land which used to be a resource that provides a

Facts, evidence, and statistics gathered by scientist leave me no room but believe human activity play a significant role. Maybe in the future knowing what scientist know now they can research all the change that needs to take place if we want our planet to survive. If we know that these gasses are destroying our atmosphere why isn't more laws created to draw the limit on how much burning can occur? Hopefully we can get laws implemented and utilize other ways because life on earth is more important than anything
First, an overwhelming scientific consensus agrees that human activity is primarily responsible for Global Climate Change. A study in 2010 showed that 97-98% of researchers agree that human activity is the primary cause for climate change around the world. This study also found that the expertise of researchers unconvinced was “substantially below” the researchers that were. The 2013 Cook review showed that out of the 11.944 studies, less than 1% completely rejected the possibility of humans causing this. A different review of 13, 950 studies of climate change found only 24 that rejected humans causing climate change. Let’s just go with majority rules. A different study held by Bray and Von Storch, two German scientists, showed that 83.5% of scientists studying climate believe that humans are causing the recent amounts of climate change. Also, a study in 2011 showed that 84% of scientists studying earth, space, the atmosphere, oceans and hydrology believe that human caused climate change is
There have been many studies performed that show humans are the major factor in climate change. They take into consideration both natural drivers and human drivers that impact our earth. “When all the natural and human-induced climate drivers are stacked up and compared to one another, the accumulation of human released heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere is so large that it has very likely swamped other climate drivers over the past half century, leading to observed global warming” (Union of concerned
Climate change is a fake. Many people say we have climate change, it’s because we use too much fossil fuels. We produce too much carbon dioxide or greenhouse gases. And then we have global warming. But actually, we feel the climate change or global warming it’s because human existence too short. Earth was formed around four and a half billion years ago. But human just appear only a sudden.
There are numerous debates about the pros and cons of climate change and what are the causes and effects of climate change. There are those who argue that the rising levels of atmospheric greenhouse gases in our environment are as a direct result of human activities. Some activities that are at the top of the list include but are not limited to the burning of fossil fuels, the cutting down of our forest, these activities are causing significant and increasingly severe climate changes which include global warming. Global warming results in a rise in the sea level, longer summers and more severe winters among other issues. Governments worldwide have come to some agreement that climate change affects every sector of life and that
I think climate change is caused by human neglect and unconscious spoiled behavior. Through this behavior and neglect a buildup of greenhouse gases has occurred through everyday living. Humans choose to drive and use gas powered equipment and machinery over electric powered ones. Gas powered byproducts cause pollution, adds to a buildup of greenhouse gases.Products used in our daily lives for personal hygiene and daily living contain CFC’s a big cause of green houses gases, which I believe is the true culprit of climate change. These greenhouse gases are called Carbon dioxide,Methane,Nitrous oxide and Halocarbons. All four gases can affect climate change. My evidence for this is ‘“when humans burn coal oil,and (fossil fuel) to generate
NASA says that over 97% of scientists agree that climate change is happening, and humans are causing it. Not only NASA, but all around the world people are trying to do something about climate change. Like the Met Office Hadley Centre, the NOAA National Climate Data Center, and the Japanese Meteorological Agency.
The evidence of climate change has been measured and tested and shown to be very accurate by organizations like NASA and the EPA. Scientists have even used this evidence to source the cause of climate change. Satellites recorded a dramatic increase in carbon dioxide levels in our atmosphere. There was an increase from about 300 parts per million in 1950 to 400 parts per million in the last several years (NASA). This
Aside from expediting the extinction of animal and plant species in the rainforest, deforestation is also playing a major role in global warming. In the time before the coming of humans, it was the
Some people may say climate change isn’t real, while others may just disagree with that statement. There is scientific proof that climate change is real. The current warming of the Earth’s surface is caused by an increase of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide. These gases are called fossil fuels. Many, many fossil fuels are being burned every single day. This is causing much of the degredation to our environment.
What we are doing to stop burning fossil fuels and help the environment is everything we
The issue is simple and rather obvious; climate change is real and a problem. With a changing climate comes rising sea levels, hotter days, and stronger and wilder storms, and long painful droughts. What most people can’t seem to agree on is whether or not human activity is playing some role in it. From media outlets to internet forums, the debate is being fought on all fronts. Most of these arguments, however, are just personal opinions and poorly-made observations from the comfort of a gas-guzzling SUV. Honestly, it doesn’t take a genius to look up a legitimate scientific paper and see the data for yourself. Human activity is influencing the global climate in a negative way, with plenty of evidence to prove it and very little disagreement in the scientific community.
What is climate change? Climate change is weather over a long term period, such as hot summers and cold winters. As the late 20th century these patterns/ increasing heat has been occurring more frequently and can cause climate change disasters, some may believe that humans are responsible for these occupations. Some scientist believes by humans releasing fossil fuels, harmful gases and populating is the only reasonable theory on why climate changes occur. As recent discovery scientists are skeptical if humans are really the primary cause and if this is a part of the world’s nature cycle?
Researchers have found much evidence pointing to climate change. Based on NASA’s website, there is some evidence of climate change, such as sea level rise, global temperature rise, warming oceans, shrinking ice sheets, glacial retreat, etc. All of these are the direct indications that our earth and climate are changing. Unfortunately, people don’t know how exactly to deal with the phenomenon. Most of the researchers mention that we can just retard the impacts of climate change, but we cannot solve it.
Unfortunately we are the cause of the climate change that is taking place worldwide because when we are extracting and burning fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum we are causing the release of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere. “Additional carbon dioxide comes from coal and oil because of the chemical composition of the carbon dioxide contains a unique finger print.” We have also been cutting down forest trees which releases large amounts of carbon dioxide and on top of all that for plants and trees to grow the
“Over the past century, the burning of fossil fuels and other human and natural activities has released enormous amounts of heat trapped gases into the atmosphere. These emissions have caused the Earth's surface temperature to rise, and the oceans absorb about 80 percent of this additional heat .”(National Geographic, 1). Climate change is happening because of humans doing things such as eating the wrong food, . In the United States, climate change has been an important topic, rising temperature and sea level storms, early snowmelt, and long seasons. It has caused problems with the coral reefs, fossil fuels, the methane produced by cows, sea level rise and more. Climate change is caused by man because the way people are living are affecting the environment.
