Introduction
There are numerous debates about the pros and cons of climate change and what are the causes and effects of climate change. There are those who argue that the rising levels of atmospheric greenhouse gases in our environment are as a direct result of human activities. Some activities that are at the top of the list include but are not limited to the burning of fossil fuels, the cutting down of our forest, these activities are causing significant and increasingly severe climate changes which include global warming. Global warming results in a rise in the sea level, longer summers and more severe winters among other issues. Governments worldwide have come to some agreement that climate change affects every sector of life and that

Records of past sea-levels changes have also been used to ascertain knowledge and understand the dynamics of climate change. More recent data are provided by the instrumental record. General circulation models, based on the physical sciences, are often used in theoretical approaches to match past climate data, make future projections, and link causes and effects in climate change.
Climate change issues have been recognized by many different professional groups across the globe. According to researcher Richard S. J. Tol, Research Professor of Economic and Social Research Institute, Dublin, Ireland (2009) states that “Climate change is the mother of all externalities: larger, more complex, and more uncertain than any other environmental problem. The sources of greenhouse gas emissions are more diffuse than any other environmental problem. Every company, every farm, every household emits some greenhouse gases. The effects are similarly pervasive. Weather affects agriculture, energy use, health, and many aspects of nature—which in turn affects everything and everyone. The causes and consequences of climate change are very diverse, and those in low-income countries who contribute least to climate change are most vulnerable to its effects. Climate change is also a long-term problem. Some
In the past, there have been several shootings in schools across the nation. However, the students and staffs are questioning should the concealed weapon permit carriers have firearms in their possession on college campuses. Even though concealed weapon permit carriers are protecting themselves from harm by having their firearms; still other people are raising their eyebrows. On the other hand, there are other people who think carrying concealed weapons on campuses will cause more harm and the death toll will rise. As Time. Com writer Josh Sanburn points out that “the shooting at Umpqua Community College on Oct. 1, which claimed 10 lives including the gunman, is by far the worst incident on a college campus this year” (qtd. in Sanburn). Therefore,
Why are men so sensitive when it comes to their masculinity? This question came to me when I began reading the introduction of this section on sex. I believe that men are pushed into a social stereotype just like women are. They are told how to act, when to cry, and when to be tough from a very young age. These traits are not only bestowed upon them by their parents, but by movies, music and government of the past and present.
Climate change is a serious threat that has dramatic effects on the world ranging from melting glaciers to disappearing islands. Climate change has seen a drastic change since the period of rapid industrial growth for humanity due to the higher reliance on fossil fuels in order power the technologies that were developed such as cars and factories which created harmful gasses which had minimal effects in the beginning but later began to have major effects on environments around the world. Although climate change is denied and questioned that it even exists by many people today, including president elect Donald Trump and a significant portion of the scientific community, scientific evidence shows that it does in fact exist and is a serious threat
Science is frequently viewed as a way to examine the world and its contiguous atmosphere. Coming from the word scientia, which is Latin and means knowledge, science is a methodical readiness that creates and arranges information in the form of testable justifications and expectations about the world that we know. Many ideas fall directly into this category. Because of this, a lot of notions and concepts can be categorized as a science discipline. It is apparent that certain science disciplines examine different features and functionalities of the universe. One specific science that is exceptionally captivating and enticing is the idea of forensics. Forensic science is a systematic technique of collecting and investigating evidence about previous events. The idea of forensic science however is a comprehensive discipline and can be fragmented down into numerous classifications. Forensic science can be distributed into such groupings as forensic psychology, forensic anthropology, forensic biology, and even, but not limited to forensic biology. The examination of forensic chemistry is unbelievably beneficial since it can be used in many aspects in life and can even be considered as a career path. One of the prime professional openings for a path in forensic chemistry is aiding and functioning with law enforcement administrators. Forensic chemistry within law enforcement is of tremendous importance since the majority of seized evidence may be evaluated that way.
Global warming, also known as climate change, is the ascent in the average temperature of the earth’s climate. It is caused by the “greenhouse effect”, which is the accumulation of carbon-dioxide(C02) and other pollutants and greenhouse gases in the atmosphere which absorb solar radiation which is normally reflected back into space. Although it is caused by various factors, the largest sources of this heat-trapping pollution worldwide are the burning of fossil fuels for electricity and transportation. The global temperature is rising rapidly. “Over the past 50 years, the average global temperature has risen at the fastest rate in recorded history” (MacMillan). The majority of the scientists and scholars agree that this rapid increase in global temperature leads to many environmental, social, economic, and political problems. Global warming has been an affair of controversy in the past few decades. Every national and international scientific body agree with the existence of this phenomenon. However, a limited number of scientists still argue against its existence. Global warming is real because with the passage of time, its effects are becoming more apparent and there is abundant scientific evidence that corroborate its existence.
Climate change and the impact it will have on the Earth are a real and increasing cause of concern. Rising sea levels and sea temperatures, increases in the frequency of extreme weather events and increased acidity in the ocean are some of the things that will have a devastating impact on human agriculture. Unless something is done to change these things, lesser developed countries; many and most of which are majority Islamic, will face food shortages, disease and famine, resulting in people displacement, mass refugees and death. Islam is practised worldwide, majority of those countries where the Islamic faith is practised, are poorly developed countries.
Humans may be causing the world to end? According to Melissa Davey, “Greenhouse gas emissions caused by humans over the past 45 years, on the the other hand, ‘have increased the rate of temperature rise to 1.7 degrees Celsius per century, dwarfing the natural background rate,”’...(Okco 2). Furthermore, scientists have proved that simple chemistry, the monitoring of climate control, and the ruling out of natural factors were an essential part in proving how this had hurt our climate. Climate change will be disastrous if not changed.
“The Living Planet report calculates that humans are using 30% more resources than the Earth can replenish each year” (Jowit, 2008). Despite this shocking information, the scientific community around the world are not focus only on a future lack of resources, but also with the possible cause and effects of climate change. Both topics are directly related with the future of human life. Since people need the nature to provide them food, fresh water and material to produce their daily thing, the lack of resources is a reality. In addition, according to the article “The Consequences of Climate Change” published by NASA scientists had predicted loos of sea ice, accelerated sea level rise and longer, more intense heat waves as some the effects of climate change by 2100 (NASA, n.d.). Thus, it is clear that there is an agreement that both issues will seriously affect the future of humanity. However, the scientific community has doubts about which of these themes is crucial for the survival of human beings. Taking into account how quickly the natural resources have been consumed, the effects will be felt earlier than the climate change outcomes.
CLIMATE CHANGE Climate change is changes in the usual weather patterns within a certain area. This includes how much rain a certain country gets during a year, or a change in temperature over a certain season in another destination. Climate change is not the same as changes in weather, as weather can change in a few hours or minutes, but climate change takes hundreds and millions of years to change. The climate of earth is always changing, the temperature of the earth can change and last millions of years, and then peak or trough for the next few millions of years. There is evidence given by scientists who study these climate changes that claim earths temperature has risen by one degree Fahrenheit in the last one hundred years. One degree Fahrenheit is even less than one degree Celsius, so it may not seem like such a small change could affect the earth, but this small change already has big consequences. CAUSES There are many events and variables that are beyond our control that can cause the earths climate to change, the climate can be impacted by the earths distance from the sun, as we will receive less solar radiation, Or the sun can send less solar radiation to the earth. When volcanoes erupt it can also impact the climate. But the main concern about climate change, is what we as modern day humans are contributing to it. Everything that requires energy, can impact the climate and causes a climate change. Driving cars, buses, motorcycles, boats, jet skis, requires
Climate change has always been an environmental issue, however, recently climate change has also, become a prominent political issue. Despite contrary belief, climate change and global warming are two different phenomena. Climate change pertains to the Earth's temperature, for example, humidity, clouds, or even wind. While global warming solely pertains to the greenhouse gases distributed to the earth's atmosphere. One, cause of climate change are the natural occurrences. Volcanic eruption disperses many greenhouse gases into the atmosphere; the gases lay as a layer instead of submerging into the atmosphere (Global Warming and Climate Change). The second, cause of climate change is human faults. For example, burning or producing fossil fuels from landfills or livestock. The effects of climate change are devastating. Starting with the temperature rising can cause wildfire or droughts, moving to oceans, heating up causing hurricanes. Later, the drastic change in climate may result in the extinction of land and sea life Many countries around the world see the destruction and are willing to make an effort to stop climate change. 195 countries came together for the cause and created an Agreement known as the Paris Agreement. The Paris Agreement is put in place to strengthen the global response to climate change, however, the Trump administration feels the terms are not beneficial to the U.S.
In the present day and age, a current phenomena with increasing effects on the Earth is climate change. As a result, massive resource shortages, natural disasters, an increased likelihood of epidemics and disease outbreaks, as well as negative impacts on a wide range of socioeconomic factors are expected (Podesta, J., Ogden, P., 2008). These effects have demonstrated and are continually expected to have the strongest impact on the disadvantaged in developing regions, namely, sub-Saharan African countries and South Asia, in the future, despite a majority of the responsibility being credited to developed nations. In fact, between the years of 1850 and 2000, 30 percent of carbon emissions are credited to the United States, 27 percent is credited to countries in the European Union, and 7 percent to China (Macintyre, J., 2009).
Climate change is one of the biggest news headlines of today. While there are skeptics that believe that global warming is just a hoax, there are many undeniable phenomenons happening around the world. The effects of climate change, in the long run, will be catastrophic if it is left alone. In just the past two months, there have been four hurricanes that made landfall in North America, and a wildfire more aggressive than has ever been seen before, ripping through California, killing forty people and leveling almost six thousand structures. Millions of Americans are displaced due to these unusually aggressive storms and the fires raging throughout California. Arctic species have seen massive reductions in their populations, with less food to eat, and less mates to breed with. The toxicity of the air in urban cities and contamination of waters outside these cities is on the rise. If the world keeps dismissing the importance of climate change, there will be calamitous consequences for the future generations. The effects of climate change, if not fixed, will be Arctic ice melting, reduction in animal populations, habitats threatened, and the air toxicity and seasonal allergies to humans. The causes include the greenhouse effect and air pollution.
Over the years, it has been evident through the reported news that the weather in many parts of the world is unpredictable. Climate change is a large-scale, long-term shift in the planet's weather patterns or average temperatures (Met Office, 2015). Climate Change has not always been political until it has gained the attention of many politicians across the world to advocate a change in countering climate change during the late 1970s. There are issues such as climate migration and strain relationships between countries have resulted from global warming. Since then, politicians, scientists, and world leaders have come together to find feasible solutions to try mending the damages done. This essay will look at how improving relations between countries, implementation of improved policies and educating societies may be feasible solutions to face climate change.
Sense 1998, the Earth has produced over 2.5 billion atomic bombs worth of heat because of an event that can occur called climate change. Climate change is the change of global or regional climate patterns that usually occur because of the rise of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Although many people disagree about climate changes existence it can be proven as a reality when the statistics are shown on how climate change can begin, how climate change is affecting our daily lives, and evidence that proves climate changes existence.
Climate change is caused by greenhouse gases changing the atmospheres surface temperature. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide are increasing the overall temperature of the atmosphere every day. But climate change causes more problems than just temperature's rising. Climate change also affects wind patterns, sea levels, precipitation patterns, and air pressure. Global warming contributes to climate change as seen in the recent hurricanes that have affected many places in the world today. Hurricanes are occurring in places of the world that they do not occur often because the earth has gotten warmer. The overall temperature of the atmosphere increases the chance of tropical storms and hurricanes. Climate change intensifies hurricanes by the increasing temperature of the earth, powerful winds, sea levels rising, and the amount of precipitation.
