Introduction: In this report I hope to successfully talk about the results I received from surveys I have taken online and on paper. I would also like to talk about the career I believe is best fitted for me and what classes and activities I must complete in order to be able to do the career I’m doing this report on. I hope that I as well as anyone that reads this learns more about the career I chose and that they become as interested in it as I am. Survey Results: Over the past week my class and I have completed surveys that are supposed to tell us what careers, we are best fitted for based on our qualities and our flaws. The first survey we did was on paper and was called Career Cluster Interest Survey, there were 16 boxes and in each …show more content…
The objective of this survey was to find out what basic skills you have and what career needs the skills you have. In my opinion, I do not think this survey was completely accurate. One of the careers that matched my skills were an Air Crew Member which I would not like to pursue as a career because that is a job that you have to be extremely fearless for although I am not afraid of many things I am not fearless enough to be a part of the Military. Some of the jobs I found dreadful such as being a Travel Guide, Hotel/Motel Clerk and, Bus Driver. Although I didn’t like the majority of the jobs the jobs the survey suggested there were some jobs that I would not mind to do even though they would not be my first choice were a Credit Analyst, Real Estate Appraiser and, Insurance Underwriter. Even though there was a few jobs I thought seemed interesting, I still do not want to do them because I know that I want to do something fashion related such as Fashion Marketing or being a Fashion Trend …show more content…
Fashion Trend Forecasting is just now starting to be a major part of the fashion world with very few people doing this job so therefore companies are in demand for people doing this work. By the time I graduate college and have a background in Fashion Marketing this job will be more common but also will probably be even more a major part of the fashion world. Although there is not many people that are doing this job as of right now, there is many businesses that are starting to realize how important this job is and how it helps sales

In Chapter 14, the writers of the text provide a map through the process of deciding on a career, preparing for it, building a portfolio, setting out on the job hunt, and how to ace an interview. Making the right career choice can mean the difference between a challenging, rewarding, happy work life and a life of waking up every morning dreading the workday. The key is to find a career that will make use of your abilities and interests where you can feel that you are making a contribution to the world. The first thing to do is to take inventory of interests, skills, experience, and education. There are online tools and surveys available to help a person make these discoveries.
For this research report I was asked to complete two surveys. These surveys were important because they helped me understand what type of career I would enjoy based on my interests and my personality. The first survey I took was the Career
My career clusters was performing arts and I chose the career named, Music Director/Composer. Directors lead orchestras, choirs, groups, and bands while composers make music or arrange other piece in a variety of music styles. Directors ensure that the musicians play with one concert sound, balancing the melody, tuning, rhythm, and dynamic. They give feedback to the musicians or section leaders so that they can achieve the sound and style they want in the music. The work environment for directors work in religious organizations, and schools with music programs. They also spend a lot of time traveling around to and places. Composers work in offices, recording studios, or their own home. Similar occupations of this career are actors, dancer and choreographers, high, middle, and elementary school teachers, musicians and singers, producers and directors, and writers and authors. The job outlook is growing by 3% which is
Admittedly, receiving my Myers-Briggs report I felt a little disheartened from the result. When I observed to the career report I saw a flood of occupations I had never before considered or even knew existed but despite that I decided to look into them.
The purpose of this paper is to tell about the career that was recommended to me after I took the Career Cluster Survey. I'm also going to tell what the career is and the steps I would have to pursue in order to have this career someday. My goal is to someday have a career that I make enough money to live a comfortable life. This means I want to focus on getting a job where a make a lot of money.
This self-assessment test was something that narrowed down possible interest and helped the participants open their mind to new careers. In-fact when I finished my test I was able to view the different careers that feel in my interest category. Taking a survey and calculating the different likes each field had accumulated determined my test outcome. After gathering the likes that had accumulated I was able to determine which inventory category was strongest. My top inventory was conventional which states, I am one who likes to follow set rules and procedures, and prefers detail and clear lines of authority (Self-Assessment, n.d.). My second strongest inventory category was Social, which states, I like work activities that promote learning and development (Self-Assessment, n.d.). Not only did I learn what my strongest inventory was I also had the ability to learn which jobs fell under those categories. Out of each category within the level 5-education requirement, I had one job that stood out over the others; category one conventional had Math Professor. This job is something that would be interesting, but I am not sure if I would want this job as a career. The social category had one job that also caught my eye, health educator. After all the research and looking at each one of the categories and the possible job opportunities I have come to the realization that the test are estimates. I personally do not think I would want to
My career cluster is Eligibility Interviewers and Government. What they all have in common is about law, math, and science. They deal with customer service, administrative service, algebra, and law and government. They have to communicate by speaking. They also have to listen to people’s problems and try to solve them.

I have performed similar quizzes in the past and each have had similar results to the Holland Career Assessment. I have began to seriously consider going into politics after my time in the Navy is through. I want to have a positive impact on people around me and each of the jobs I have chosen can do just that. This kind of tool is great way to narrow different degree paths for potential college students and the earlier this kind of assessment is performed, the better. A young person can begin to tailor jobs or apprenticeships in different areas to eliminate careers that are not interesting. An adult can do the same thing when changing careers to find a new career that matches his or her personality. It is also important to know the different
Little kids everywhere have imagined what they will become as they grow up; a doctor, a musician, a teacher. As an eighth grader, I’ve been given the opportunity to look in-depth at what careers I should consider. Through surveys I’ve learned about my more prominent skills, which has led me to the discovery of paths I should take as I draw closer to high school. As I continue to see my results and take a deeper look at my possible plan for the future, I hope to learn more about myself, discovering a career choice I haven’t considered before, and end up with a better understanding of who I want to be.
In my career research report, I am going to be trying to accomplish some of my goals. I feel like it’s time to start planning for my future and what I want to do with it, so a main goal is to find a suitable career for me. I have already seen some amazing career opportunities for me to think about. Though I really hope I can get at least an A on my research paper and make sure I enjoy the whole process of doing this project.

Anyone who knows me, knows in so few words that I could best be described as a complex or better yet, imaginative person. I am a person that is easily fascinated by all things thrilling and prove to be challenging. Growing up, I was raised with the mentality that anything you think, work hard for, and plan for, you become. So inevitably, when I got informed about this assignment, I went big with my top five career choices and pushed the desires of my heart outside of my comfort zone. In today’s society, the occupational field is getting more and more competitive because of the high demand for well-qualified and rounded individuals. Education doesn’t stop after high school because after graduation no one will babysit your choices and tell you
