A hero can be defined by anybody based on a particular characteristic that is done “heroically” or is done by somebody with a heart of gold that was there in time to help and be a hero. But a hero doesn’t have to be a stranger, it can be a friend, family member, or a neighbor from next door who knows how to help. Basically, anybody can be a hero, but most of the time it’ll come from the most unexpected place and unexpected person. This a story about my personal hero, my Mom. She has been through a lot, but has never backed down being really strong, determined, and having a heart of gold because she’s a good person who has done the right thing. My mom is an amazing person for all of the things she did to support not just herself, but two children while going to college, and working three different jobs to have everything she needed to take care of her beautiful, little angels. My mom went through an interesting hardship when she was raising two kids, working three jobs, and going to College at the same time when my sister and I were very young. This was a grueling, yet an exciting endeavor that my mom went through when living in Williston in the early 90s even after I was born, going to school and working long hours to support her and her children. In the year 2000 of January, I was born. But that didn’t stop my mom from working or going to school because she worked harder for all of us to have a future and she didn’t stop no matter what happened even if it was something
Everyone in the world has someone they look up to and want to be just like them one day. Everyone has different opinions about who a true hero is. My personal hero is my dad, David Laetzsch. My dad is my favorite person in the world because he is always there when I need him the most and I don’t know where I would be today without him. He has helped get me to the great life I have now and I am forever thankful for all he does for me. Nobody could ever compare to my father. He is the most caring, loving and genuine person I know even if he doesn’t show it sometimes, and that is why he is my hero.
I grew up watching my mother strive to give me a better life and become a better person. Amongst great difficulty, she decided to finish school and attend university. Her hard work and determination have marked and defined my life. Every day she had to work, then go to university and later take care of me. She excelled in every aspect of her life, teaching me that the impossible is overcome through hard work and
Ricky Martin once said, “Heroes represent the best of ourselves, respecting that we are human beings. A hero can be anyone from Ghandi to your classroom teacher, anyone who can show courage when faced with a problem. A hero is someone who is willing to help others in his or her best capacity.” Almost anyone can be a hero, as long as they have the courage and the maturity to understand and respect those who they attempt to help. Despite the fact that a hero cannot save everyone, being heroic is about placing others before oneself and strive to help those who need it the most.
My mom came from a poor family. Her family didn’t have a lot of money. She was the oldest of five kids. Her mom had to work a lot to provide for all of them. Her mom kicked her out when she was 13. She’s been on her own ever since. She didn’t have any money or a job. She had to stay with a friend. So, she finally found a job when she was 15 and she has been working ever since.

Two months after mom turned 18 she and dad got married, December 24, 1935. She was a farm wife until the last of her three children was in high school and she was finally able to return to the job market and complete some of those dreams she had as a 16 year old, though there was a 20 some year interruption. The Great Depression changed and reshaped the lives of so many people. Had not that new direction occurred for my mother, I might not have been here to write about her early
During this time my mom dealt with unemployment for almost two months. She now has a good baby-sitting job and I’m extremely proud to say my mom has done everything in her power to raise my brother and I. She has become a more independent driven woman, whose growth has shown me that the struggles that life brings are actually opportunities to be better. I face my challenges with confidence because I know I can only learn from them and they will shape the person that I want to become. I no longer face obstacles but
A hero is not always a person that can fly or that has superhuman powers. A hero is somebody that helps another person out in a time of need. This can be anything from being in a life or death situation, or just stepping in and helping when another person is getting bullied. A Hero can be anybody, young, old, man or woman. However, you do have to have some special characteristics that not everybody has. Heroes have to want to help, put others before themselves, be brave and courageous, and be a leader.
Due to the economic instability, it was extremely difficult for my father to find another job. So, he decided to take a huge risk and invest in a family business of stationery materials. The long hours and stress weighed down my father, and greatly affected my family. Consequently, I had to work even harder to ensure the security of our family income. While my friends were sleeping, I would wake up at six in the morning to open and set up the shop. Also, since my family couldn’t afford basic transportation, I had to walk to and from school daily. After returning from school, I would work at the shop while attempting to finish schoolwork until closing. While my peers were enjoying their childhood, I was being crushed by the responsibilities of my demanding family business and my overwhelming heap of schoolwork. However, facing such adversity gave me a strong sense of perseverance and diligence that I will always cherish, respect, and retain. I was fortunate enough to immigrate to the United States and start my life over. Even though moving to a completely new country at the
Everyone has different opinions on what it means to be a hero and what it takes. The literal definition of a hero is “a person who is greatly admired” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary), and some people may agree with that. Others think that it takes more or different qualities to be a hero. Among these qualities are bravery, kindness, selflessness, determination, hope, and confidence. Those are just a few among many more traits. Qualities like those are found in many people, from the heroes written about in fiction, to the people who live in towns across the world. By saying this, it’s true that everyday people can be heroes, given the right time and place.
She worked 40+ hours a week at a $9/hr job and never asked anyone for help. She managed to pay the rent, utilities, food, clothes etc and my sisters and I never felt as if we went without. My mom led our family with her heart and still does. Her family is everything to her. What I learned from my mom has a direct impact on how I am today as a leader. I learned to work hard, fight for what you want, and fight with your heart. I learned to be Independent and take charge of my future. If you want something, work hard for it and don’t let anything get in your way. I learned to not just accept what has happened to you in your life, that you can still change it. We went through some very tough years, but my mother’s love for us never faltered and it always got us through the rainiest of

A hero to me is someone that is there to help you when you need it no matter what may be the problem. It is someone who is brave, caring and generous. Like a superhero they "save the day" they are somehow always there when you need them and think about you and not themselves. I consider my mom to be my hero because she is very selfless when it comes to family. My mom does everything in her power to help me and I admire and love that about her.
Everyone could be a hero they just have to believe. Like soldiers, police officers, and firefighters risk their lives to save other people. Being a hero doesn't mean putting your life at risk it also means saving people like a doctor or a veterinarian. There are many heroes like organizations to help animals or sick people. A Hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. Told by Joseph campbell. Many people are heroes like saving a kid if he falls. The smallest thing that helps others could be a hero.
