My Michigan Hero A hero is someone you look up to. Who’s your hero? Who do you look up to? “I love my hero to Neptune and back!” My hero, Tasha Young, came from a poor family, works hard and survived cancer. My hero is the oldest of five kids, she didn’t graduate high school and she was a single parent. My mom, Tasha Young, is my hero. My mom came from a poor family. Her family didn’t have a lot of money. She was the oldest of five kids. Her mom had to work a lot to provide for all of them. Her mom kicked her out when she was 13. She’s been on her own ever since. She didn’t have any money or a job. She had to stay with a friend. So, she finally found a job when she was 15 and she has been working ever since. My mom, Tasha, worked hard
A hero is someone that never falls, but gets up again and again, never losing sight of his dreams. My hero is a male, who is 42, stands 6'2 and is very strong and never gives up. He is a person that inspires me to think smart about things like working on stuff, and thinks before you do. My dad makes a positive impact on my life to work hard and stay busy.
Even when I asked him to leave me alone he never let me stay alone he stood in place and said to keep calm and forget it as if it didn't matter at all.
My Michigan hero is one of my friend’s dads. I have many of reasons why he is my Michigan hero, but one big reason is because he saved my life.
The smell of cinnamon engulfed my senses as I sat down on the soft plush couch. It was christmas time, and I could hear my grandma’s voice as she hummed an old Christmas toon. The general feel of the room was happiness, Which was enhanced with the warm smells of freshly baked cookies and holiday ham. “Abby? would you like to taste these cookies before I frost them?” she asked, knowing that I didn't like the frosting that she usually bought. She was always trying to make the people around her happy. As a young child, her family didn't have a lot of money so she was forced to live off barely anything. she made the best out of her situation, and learned to be happy with what she had. My grandma knows how to make everyone happy in every situation, and that si why she is my Personal Michigan Hero.
What is a hero? A hero is a person that helps someone and stands up for what is right.
“A hero is someone who steps up when everyone else backs down.” An anonymous person mentioned. First of all, my hero always steps up on her tiptoes when we are back to back. (I’m taller) She steps up to serve when things get difficult for others, and she repeatedly steps up in being persistent and consistent. My hero is Rachel Alice Peterson, my sister.
My father was 72-years-old, and he was running the entire family. My sisters used to go to college and then went to work to support the family. When my father had a heart attack, everything shattered. We were struggling pay the rent. I then got a job in Utshob.com, an e-commerce company, where I had to distribute flyers and asked around for people’s emails.
My sister, there is no way to explain how important she is to me. Of course she's annoying , but my life would be so boring without her. She's the light in the darkness I honestly wouldn't know what my life would be like without her I can't even imagine it. She is my Michigan hero.
What is a hero, people may ask? A hero is somebody who does good things and believes in what is right and just. I mean, let’s be realistic. Who is a hero today? Kim Kardashian, no. Eminem, no. Nicki Minaj, oh my goodness, no.
Growing up, my family never really had much. Nearly all our furniture was picked up from the streets and a majority of my brother and I’s clothes were hand-me-downs. To make matters worse, my dad was addicted to gambling and would argue with my mom every night in regards to this issue. After a few years, this led to my family being in major debt and my mom decided it was time for a divorce. My mom raised me and my brother on her own while also working to pay off all the debt. I never realized how hard working my mom was until many years later. She would take me and my brother to school, work a full 8 hour shift at work, sometimes even longer, and go to school to get her associates degree. Afterwards, she would come home and cook dinner for
What is a hero? In my view a hero is someone that you admire. You may
As a senior in high school, my mother was the colonel of the drill team and was preparing for college when life threw a major curve ball her way. Once she realized she was pregnant with me, she had to change her lifestyle entirely. With no support, financially or emotionally from my father, my mother had to do it “all on her own.” This greatly affected my mother because even to this day she is still playing a role as both a mother and father figure, and has never complained or failed to follow through with any of her responsibilities. Raising me was especially hard for my mother because she lacked financial stability. There were times when she didn’t even have enough money for a bottle of formula. Her parents allowed her to stay at home with them but she was required to pay rent in exchange for my grandmother babysitting me while she worked as receptionist at a local chemical plant.
If you ask any kid who their hero is they will most likely say their parents. And in my case, it’s still my dad. He has overcome a lot of adversities in his life that makes him who he is today, which is my hero. A hero doesn’t have to slay dragons sometimes all they have to do is follow their dreams. They all must go through some difficult times to help them understand that they want something better for themselves and as motivation to get there.
What is a hero? A hero to you may not be a hero for someone else. According to dictionary.com a hero is someone who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. The thing about that is that not everyone thinks that the same things are courageous, or consider something an achievement. Hero movies and stories are seen at the theaters a lot nowadays. DC and Marvel movies are all about superheroes. My hero is not a superhero; she is my mom. My mom is tenacious, courageous, and resilient, because she does everything to get my brother and me through school and life in general.
My mother was poor and her mother was poor too and as long as we can trace back my mother family was always poor. My mother was one out of nine children, to be precise she was the 3rd to be born. Unlike other families she didn’t have to work until she was in her late teens but this meant that sometimes they had no food to eat. As a young kid she didn’t have much but as she said “you don’t expensive things to make you happy when you have your family.” Though born in a corrupt and dangerous country she would break from the chains of poverty and live here but not with many sacrifices.
