1. Compile a business vision about the type of product or service you think your company needs to develop. Next, describe the business values and corporate values that you want to create.
Provide illustrations of the planning process from start to finish including, ideas, concepts, inspirations and the process.
You are part of the five-member team responsible for selecting the new admission/discharge/transfer (ADT)/MPI for your facility. You are replacing an existing MPI that no longer meets the needs of your organization. Even more important, in 18 months the MPI will no longer be supported by your vendor. The functional requirements and the request for proposal have been developed. The RFP is due back from the vendors in 1 week. Your facility wants to make the decision about which system to choose within 3 months. Your assignment is to evaluate the RFP’s returned and to develop a plan to guide the team in the evaluation and selection of the final system. Your plan should answer these questions:
1. Understand the product that you are working with prior contacting the consultant company to set a clear objectives and expectations for the outcome expected at the end of the project.

Create a consulting contract that defines the boundaries of your analysis and objectives of the project.
This assignment consists of three (4) sections: a written project plan, revised business requirements document, project plan PowerPoint presentation, and a finalized project plan. You must submit the four (4) sections as separate files for the completion of this assignment. Label each file name according to the section of the assignment it is written for. Additionally, you may create and / or assume all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.
First off the “Who”. Who do I report to? Who is the project manager? Who will be assisting me? Next is “What”. What are the expectations, needs, and outcome are they are looking for? “When”, do we start, and when is the expected completion date or deadline?
In corporate America projects are implemented on a regular basis. With implementing these projects there is a grave possibility that they may not be successful. In conducting any successful project it takes some type of organizational skills. The nature and scope of a project is determined at the initiation stage. This involves analyzing the business needs, developing goals, budgets, tasks, deliverables, and the stakeholder analysis. The project planning stage determines the planning team, develops the scope, and identifies work breakdown structure and activities that will be needed to complete deliverables. The planning stage also estimates time and cost activities, develop schedule and risk plan, and gain formal approval for work to begin. During the project initiation phase, I can work collaboratively with the project sponsor in the development of project charter and lead up to the formal authorisation of the project/ new phase. From the sponsor’s project SOW (Business need, product scope), Business case etc., I can identify measurable project objectives, high level requirements, risks, summary milestones and budget and approval authorities. The key deliverables in this phase are project charter and stakeholder lists.
