Solution

Find the surface area and volume of the solid.

The surface area of cylinder $=628f{t}^2$

The volume of cylinder $=1177.5f{t}^3$

Concept Used:

• Formula of surface area of cylinder $=2\pi r^2+2\pi rh$ .
• Formula of volume of cylinder $=\pi r^{2}h$

Calculation:

The given solid is -

  

As the given solid is cylinder.

Diameter of cylinder = 10ft

The radius of cylinder = $\frac{10}{2}=5ft$

And height of cylinder = 15ft

The surface area of cylinder $=2\pi r^2+2\pi rh$

  $\begin{array}{l}$ =2\pi {(5)}^2+2\pi (5)(15)$=2\pi (25)+2\pi 75\\ =50\pi +150\pi \\ =200\pi \\ =200(3.14)\\ =628\end{array}$

So, The surface area of cylinder $=628f{t}^2$

The volume of cylinder $=\pi r^{2}h$

  $\begin{array}{l}$ =\pi {(5)}^2(15)$=\pi 25(15)\\ =375\pi \\ =375(3.14)\\ =1177.5\end{array}$

So, The volume of cylinder $=1177.5f{t}^3$
