Solution

Find the surface area and volume of the solid.

The surface area of cylinder $=755.17m{m}^2$

The volume of cylinder $=1591.98m{m}^3$

• Formula of surface area of cylinder $=2\pi r^2+2\pi rh$ .
• Formula of volume of cylinder $=\pi r^{2}h$

Calculation:

The given solid is -

  

As the given solid is cylinder.

The radius of cylinder = 6.5mm

And height of cylinder = 12mm

The surface area of cylinder $=2\pi r^2+2\pi rh$

  $\begin{array}{l}$ =2\pi {(6.5)}^2+2\pi (6.5)(12)$=2\pi (42.25)+2\pi 78\\ =84.5\pi +156\pi \\ =240.5\pi \\ =240.5(3.14)\\ =755.17\end{array}$

So, The surface area of cylinder $=755.17m{m}^2$

The volume of cylinder $=\pi r^{2}h$

  $\begin{array}{l}$ =\pi {(6.5)}^2(12)$=\pi 42.25(12)\\ =507\pi \\ =507(3.14)\\ =1591.98\end{array}$

So, The volume of cylinder $=1591.98m{m}^3$
