Chapter CHST6, Problem 1DQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The challenges faced by a scientist in making gene therapy a safe, reliable, and effective technique for treating human disease conditions.
Introduction:
A disease is caused due to some defect in the genes. There is an experimental technique which is used to rectify and prevent the disease by correcting the genetic defect this is called gene therapy. Therefore, gene therapy involves converting the mutated gene into a healthy gene, knocking out the improper gene by inactivating it or introduction of the functionally active gene to combat the disease.
