Question
Chapter 9, Problem 9RA
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The area of brain that directly participates in the reflex control of the autonomic system.
Introduction:
The functions of the visceral organs are majorly regulated by autonomic reflexes. Autonomic reflexes are controlled by peripheral nervous system. Autonomic reflex are sometimes also controlled by the brain. Autonomic reflexes are generated by transmitting sensory input to the brain where this sensory input is integrated. Then response is generated by modifying the activity of preganglionic neurons. Â
