The riser is an extra opening provided in casting to prevent charities developed due to shrinkage.

Solidification time is the time required to farm crystals from the molten metal.

Casting should be freeze before the freezing of riser to compensate shrinkage.

Here, B and n = constants

V = volume of casting

A = Area of casting.
