Summary Introduction

To determine: The advantages of C3, C4 and the CAM (Crassulacean acid metabolism) plants.

Introduction: the plants are divided into three categories based on the route of metabolism opted by them. The C3 plants produce a three-carbon compound through the Calvin cycle. While the c4 plants form four carbon compound that is oxaloacetate and the CAM plants collect the sunlight during the day and use it produce carbohydrates during the night.

Q no 2: Describe in detail what happens during the light reactions of photosystems. Use terms such as photosystems (be specific about which is which), pigments, reaction center, water-splitting, NADPH, ATP, ADP, NADP+, oxygen gas, etc?
Please answer fast  Many commercial herbicides act by inhibiting photosynthetic electron transport. They are investigating three herbicides for potential inhibitors of photosynthetic electron transport. a) How can you determine whether these substances have an inhibitory effect on photosynthetic electron transport? How can you quantify the effect? b) An inhibitor has produced a strong effect in "in vitro" tests, but the effect is significantly less in "in vivo" tests. What can be the reason for the reduced effect "in vivo"?
