Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

An expression for the angle between the vector representing angular momentum l with z component ml and the z axis has to be predicted.  The limiting value of angle when l becomes very large has to be predicted.  The interpretation of this result in the light of the correspondence principle has to be predicted.

Concept introduction:

The vector model of angular momentum calculates the value of orbital angular momentum for an electron in an atom.  The vector model is represented by a cone.  The length of the cone should be equal to {l(l+1)}1/2 and a projection of ml along the z axis.
