A change agent is required to implement change in the organization because it helps transform the organization by focusing on important matters such as organizational development, improvement and effectiveness. The change agent provides assistance to help people change in an easy manner. Employees at the lower level can be the change agent because they are aware of the inside and out of the organization and thus influence people to adapt to the change that is coming their way.

Explanation of Solution

Change agent refers to the person that helps in the successful implementation of the change. Extraordinary versatility and a broad set of skills are some of the qualities of a change agent. The primary role of the change agent is to identify different ways in which support can be provided to the people to change. As a facilitator, change agent design tools and systems that help people change in a successful manner. An employee at a low level can definitely be a change agent. The employees at the lower level exist at the end of the hierarchy ladder, however, they are familiar with the operation of the organization due to which they possess certain influence and power. Therefore, they can be a change agent.
