Chapter 6.2, Problem 6.14CP
Program Plan Intro
Object:
A variable or any element is considered as an object when it has states and behaviors. It is the commodity or entity which is created to perform the tasks according to the plan.
Class:
In simple words class can be defined as the template or blueprint that describes the state or behavior of the object. Class is also defined as the idea or plan or structure of a real-world entity.
Relationship between a class and object:
- Class defines the properties or methods of the objects which is represented by abstraction.
- An object exhibits the methods and properties defined by the class.
- Therefore, object is known as instance of class.

Instructor note:
Important Coding Guidelines:
Use comments, and whitespaces around operators and assignments.
Use line breaks and indent your code.
Use naming conventions for variables, functions, methods, and more. This makes it easier to understand the code.
Write simple code and do not over complicate the logic. Code exhibits simplicity when it’s well organized, logically minimal, and easily readable.
A pedometer treats walking 1 step as walking 2.5 feet. Define a method named feetToSteps that takes a double as a parameter, representing the number of feet walked, and returns an integer that represents the number of steps walked. Then, write a main program that reads the number of feet walked as an input, calls method feetToSteps() with the input as an argument, and outputs the number of steps.
Use floating-point arithmetic to perform the conversion.
Ex: If the input is:
150.5
the output is:
60
The program must define and call a method:public static int feetToSteps(double…
int j;
switch (i)
{
case 0: j = 2*i; break;
case 1: j = -i; break;
default: j = -2*i;
}
What is j if i = 1?
What is j if i = -1?
2. Create one user object that invokes the default constructor.

The program should have two Java classes: one for a single die and another for a pair of dice. Assignment Details: User Input: Ask the user to specify the number of sides they want on each die. Ensure that the user's input is within a reasonable range. Dice Rolling: Simulate rolling the dice using Math.random() based on the user's chosen number of sides. Display the sum of the values rolled, e.g., "5 + 3 = 8." Special Combinations: If the dice roll results in combinations of 2, 7, or 12, print special messages: "1 + 1 = 2 snake eyes!" "3 + 4 = 7 craps!" "6 + 6 = 12 box cars!" Main Method: In the main method, create a pair of dice, roll them, and display the results. Allow the user to decide whether to continue rolling the dice or exit the program. In trick taking games such as whist or bridge, four players each play one card from their hand to the trick, committing to their play in clockwise order starting from the player who plays first into the trick. The winner of the trick is determined by the following rules:1. If one or more cards of the trump suit have been played to the trick, the trick is won by the highest ranking trump card, regardless of the other cards played.2. If no trump cards have been played to the trick, the trick is won by the highest card of the suit of the first card played to the trick. Cards of any other suits, regardless of their rank, are powerless to win that trick.3. Ace is the highest card in each suit.Note that the order in which the cards are played to the trick greatly affects the outcome of that trick, since the first card played in the trick…arrow_forwardC++ code: int v = 0, w = 1, int main(void) { W = z; V = W + x; y = W X; Z = z -1; } X = 2, y = = 3, z = 5;arrow_forward
