The rate of change of pressure as temperature changesfor the vapor pressure of naphthalene C10H8 is to be calculated.

Concept introduction:

The relation between rates of change of vapor pressure with temperature is given by Clapeyron equation as given below.

dpdT=ΔtranH¯TtranΔtranV¯

In the above equation, dp is the change in pressure, ΔtranH¯ is the change in enthalpy of transition, ΔtranV¯ is the change in volume of substance and Ttran is the temperature at which transition occur.
