Enantiomeric excess: The (ee) is a measurement of purity for chiral substances, and its reflected the degree to which a sample contains one enantiomer in greater amounts then the other.

Consider for simple example the (R)-enantiomers (86%) exceeds the percentage of the (S)-enantiomers (14%) has 86%-14%=72%. Further the substance that is single pure enantiomer (100% ee) is called homo chiral or optically active molecule.
