Summary Introduction
To describe: The physiological changes that take place during human sexual intercourse.
Introduction: Reproductive system (or genital system) is involved in sexual reproduction. The male and female reproductive systems function to propagate the species. Gametogenesis is a process by which male and female gametes are produced. The spermatogenesis and oogenesis are the two types of gametogenesis present in the sexual reproduction of animals.

Describe the phases of the human sexual response.
The sex response is an inborn reflex. What stimuli trigger the reflex? What two physiological mechanisms (other than the brain) are responsible for the physical changes that appear during the sexual response? [Hint: One begins with “va” and the other with “my.”] Give examples of the effects of both these two physiological mechanisms.
Define two hormones/neurotransmitter chemicals that are relevant in sexual activity.
