Introduction:
Census is the process of collection, compilation, analyzing, evaluation, publishing, and disseminating of the statistics of population, housing, and geographical location data. The main purpose of census is to calculate a country’s population and determining their locations.
Explanation of Solution
In US, census occurs in every ten years and within this time the population can vary due to many factors.
These factors are:
1. Birth rate − If the birth rate, the number of new-borns increases within these 10 years, then the population number will hike.
2. Death rate − If the death rate increases drastically, then the population count will also increase.
3. Immigration − Immigration occurs when individuals of different country to migrate to a country of some purpose, and then reside there forever. In this case also population increases.
4. Emigration − Emigration occurs when individuals from a country move to different countries forever. In this case, population decreases.
