Introduction:
The hair is present in every part of the human body except the lips, palm, the nipple, etc. the color and the structure of hair may vary due to age. In the sixth month of fetal development, the hair is very delicate and is termed as lanugo, during the birth time the baby has pigmented hairs which are termed as terminal hairs. The lanugo hair is replaced by the vellus hairs which get replaced during puberty. The growth of hairs consists of growth and resting phases. In the growth phase, the hair will grow in length due to the production of new cell matrix to get keratinized and die, after this the hair growth enters the resting phase the old hairs will be changed by new hairs that cause hair fall, therefore hair fall is normal.
