To explain:
The possible ways by which epithelial cells are bound to one another and to the basement membrane.
Introduction:
The epithelial tissues are found on the body's outer surface and line the organs, vessels, and cavities. Epithelial cells constitute a thin cell layer known as the endothelium that adjoins the internal tissue lining of organ such as brain, lung, skin and heart. The cells are categorized by the number and structure of the cells on the surface. There are four epithelium tissues according to the number of cell layers- simple, stratified, and pseudo-stratified epithelium. There are three kinds of epithelium- squamous, cuboidal, and columnar epithelium on the basis of the shape of the epithelial cells.
