Concept Introduction:
Covalent or molecular compounds are characterized by the presence of covalent bonds where sharing of electrons between two or more atoms occurs.
These bonds are formed between two non-metals. Even though both are non-metals, the more metallic element is written first and the less metallic element is written second.
